USB DVB-T Tuner - Freeview on your laptop for £20

I think you have your wires crossed.
In order to watch tv on your pc you need to connect an aerial to the usb device and effectively it displays the received image on your computer screen - like the tv. It works best with an external aerial. No internet connection is involved.
I use a Hauppage HVR900. This is a good usb stick because it has both a digital freeview receiver but can also receive analogue signals. This means you can use it to capture video from sky, a dvd player or video.
If buying one of these cheap sticks make sure you can get a good digital reception on your aerial or it will be pretty useless.
sorry but is it possible to get great digital signals whilst driving?

For a little more, you could have > this Freecom stick <, which has received good reviews and has good support under Linux. It also performs at least as well as my Pioneer set-top box in a very weak signal area.0

Somehow i doubt very much you could use it while driving. The signal would be constantly fluctuating and so you would get very frustrated. Better to record the programmes you want onto the hard drive and play them back.
I don't think there is a good option for driving.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -

The following site has reviews of Miniature USB TV tuners which I found pretty useful

To me it seems like the freecom is the best in terms of functionality and price
Edit - the freecom one hasnt got any great reviews on amazon even though it is only about £22.31

Does anyone know if this this freeview stick has working vista drivers?0

The Freecom one from PCworld works under vista... You just plug it in and its installed automatically and the media centre then searches for the channels so no need to put the install disk any where near the PC..0
