    Afternoon everyone:j:j

Well Its not been as warm and sunny as I had hoped it would be. But I have taken advantage of the milder weather and sat out side for a bit this afternoon.
After I had sorted my chickens out I sat down and read my book for a bit.
I have not done much today.
Iv not told you this but on Friday I did some work in the garden. Not a lot and nothing heavy. I was out there for a couple of hours. As I said only light work and I did not rush any of it I took my time.
Now yesterday morning When I got up my left wrist hurt a bit. Now I'm right handed.
By yesterday afternoon It had swollen a bit and hurting a bit more.
I went to bed last night and rubbed some deep heat into it. (I love the small, but my wife hates it:D)
When I got up this morning, My wrist had swollen even more and it hurt even more. Anyway as you know I started this thread off. All ok. After that I had a mooch around on facebook. Then turn the computer off and listened to the radio, i nodded off In my chair at some point. Woke back up at at about 6:20ish. And my wrist had swollen even more and hurting even more. After about an hour of being awake it was hurting that much that I could not even type with my left hand. Anyway when my wife got up she put me a tube a grip on it. Which has helped to support it but it still hurts. If i take the grip off i can not even type! It;s not too bad with it on.
the swollen part is just above my wrist. Its swollen and hard. My wife thinks its something to do with the tendon.
I could understand if i have been doing heavy work in the garden. And I had hurt it. But I have not. And I'm right handed anyway.

So Iv been trying to rest it today.
If it don't sort its self out In a couple of days I will have to pop to see the doctors with it.
It jsut seems at the moment that I have a few small problems that I need to see the doctor about. Now some might be related. But I'n not sure were the wrist fits in.:)
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

    Afternoon everyone

Halight - seems like you just seem to be getting one thing after another - just take it steady and possibly a visit to the GP sooner rather than later might be a good idea!

Lunch has been eaten - the pork was really delicious - even though I cooked it longer than I intended to as hubby and I went together to collect DS1 from his revision session at school this morning and en route to collect him we went to diy store to buy some black roofing sealent as we have a small porch with a flat roof and we like to keep the roofing coated in this sealent to stop leaks etc. We also bought some exterior white gloss to re-paint the panel above the door and window - hubby did these whilst I was prepping the veg etc for lunch, then managed to run out of the roofing sealant with a tiny amount left to do, hence the reason we went to the diy store together. Have managed to get the LO pork into the fridge before the menfolk asked for second helpings along with the LO yorkshires and little bits of veg - will use all this another night for dinner. Having a lazy Sunday afternoon before going back to work tomorrow - will organise the pack-ups shortly then I will not do anything else just going to be a lazy mare! Although I'm going to put another load in the WM so I can hang it out tomorrow before work.

Enjoy the rest of Sunday and weekend, keep safe and well x

    Hi all,

Hugs to those in need xx

OH has spent the morning installing a 'fat-cat flap' into the back door at the kittens had to force themselves through the normal sized one !!!!!

Lamb shanks are bubbling away in the oven, along with flapjacks and coconut sponge cakes.

Got tomorrow off, so will have a clean through and do some freezer cooking, IF I can fit more in the freezer ;)

Have a fab day all x
That made me chuckle, years ago we had a very big, black cat called Bilbo who was gorgeous but a bit chubby. At the time we had a cat flap that just pushed together each side of the opening. One day after a quick entry into the house he ended up in the chicken with the cat flap around his waist. Never seen anything so funny:rotfl:

    Hey everyone

Not posted much for the last week or so, but been reading every day - hope everyone is well, and hugs for those who need/want.

Been a mostly relaxed weekend in my world, the boyfriend has been here, and I've spent a fair bit of time in the kitchen. Made a bulk load of chilli up on Friday evening, had some for dinner, and popped 4 boxes into the freezer. Baked for him yesterday, his mum never cooked much when he was little, he claims the idea of making cake is pretty much magic in his head - he was pretty much shocked the first time I baked, because it honestly was quicker than walking to the shop :rotfl:Made lemon drizzle and some jam tarts for lunches over the next couple of weeks, and sent him back home with some too. And now that he's gone home, I've just finished making some chilli jam (saw the recipe on Saturday Kitchen yesterday morning - definitely worth doing), and then some lime curd with the leftover limes from the chilli... Got the washing in the machine, just need to decide on dinner now, and then I can curl up on the sofa for a while!

Enjoy what's left of the weekend

    Lucy x

I thought i'd share a bit of my joy. Many, many years ago when i first got married i bought a book (think it was from an Ann Summers Party). Anyway, i learned much about myself and my man from it.;)

Unfortunately i lent it to someone in the 80s and never got it back and ive looked high and low for a copy of this book but ive never been successful up until now. I knew the name of the book and the author who went by the initial 'J' and ive found it!

I'm so excited to have found it again though i doubt when i read it again it will be as mind blowing and instructive as it was when i was in my late teens, early twenties but i'm going to read it anyway.:D Who knows, it might trigger a few memories.:D

Excitement aside, hubby and i had a good chat this morning and he's made further progress on dejunking the shed and the garden. He says he wont budge on the conifer tree but i havent given up on the idea.

Back to this evening. Late meal for us tonight but ive been busy. Need to do the sandwiches for the men to take to work/college tomorrow and send some Shopandscan codes.

Then i can go to bed.:)

    Evening
seems like most people had a good day, thanks to halight for the breakfast to get us all off to a good start. I certainly needed mine, made the mistake of going to Asd@ for weekly shop, it was nearly as busy as at christmas  took 3 times as long to get there as traffic was queuing and twice a long to shop and check out. DOnt get that at Ald! :). Did manage to keep bill down to £39 so pleased about that. Picked my mum up on the way back and she was here for lunch and dinner which was gammon with a mustard glaze, easily fed us and LO for tomorrows packed lunch sandwiches. Nice afternoon but bit too chilly to be outside. We watched skyfall on DVD, I really like that film.
OS not a lot, gave kitchen once over, menu planned for week. got cake out of freezer to give us something extra for next few days. I also got organised for tomorrow, I am working all day then out in the evening so want to be ready not rushing from on thing to next. also dont want to be late to bed as it was nearly 2 this morning when DS got back from babysitting. DS has emptied DW so will load with dinner things then off to bed.
    Thoughts to all.

    Hello everybody.

Thanks so much for the lovely breakfast Halight....have to confess that OH and I had blueberry pancakes with bacon and maple syrup later...no wonder I am so heavy! Look after yourself, lots of things bothering you at present, see the doctor.

I never peel potatoes...skin is good for you....I have an ace veg peeler which is good for carrots etc but I sometimes just give them a good scrub.

I hate ironing and only do so when there is no other way out....

Had the lo chicken from Friday with noodles and various veg in miso based broth....couldn't do it again as can't remember what went in, but tend to do things like that nowadays and keep going until I get a palatable sauce.

Very much in a cba mood at present, not sure why as usually the bright weather cheers me up...need to get myself into gear as getting annoyed with myself. House very quiet this evening as OH went off to bed before 6pm, so just Mossy and me.

Stay safe and warm and sleep well
