    Morning all,
Feeling a bit bleurgh, _pale_ due to the wedding we went to y/day. It was held at the Bishop's Palace in Wells Cathederal, a beautiful place. The reception was in one of the old buildings, huge chandeliers and stone carvings, quite spectacular. Can't belive I had a good old banter with the Bishop of Bath and Wells, he's got a great sense of humour !!
So pleased I cooked roast beef y/day for DH's dinner today as I don't think I'm up for doing anything atm, all self inflicted ofcourse !!
DH is doing the veg for his dinner, that's my pet hate peeling potatoes, carrots ect. I'm lucky in the fact that he always empties the rubish bin and changes the toilet rolls, spoilt or wot?
Time I pulled myself to pieces and have a shower as we're meeting friends down our local at 1pm, don't think I should have made these plans as I am of no use to man nor mouse.

(((Lou))), thinking of you hun. I know how it feels.

That sounds like our recycling basket. DH will stand things next to it when it is overflowing but never goes to empty it!

Came home yesterday after taking dd to cinema to find gas was still off!!!

After a few phone calls it got turned back on after 6p.m. so I could do us a stir fry with prawns :j

DH very impressed at the speed ;)

Lazy morning as have just come out of shower and about to strip the bed clothes to change later so mattress can breathe.

Planning lunch to be stewing steak with onions and carrots, mixed veg, mushy peas, yorkies and roast potatoes with gammon steak for dd. Strange to have only the three us today but other dd will be home tonight and youngest is home from uni in three weeks so will soon be five - seven if remaining dd visits with bf.

DH will be a bit surprised to have a later lunch but probably happy to have home made soup as a first course to keep him going.

Need to go start making prep for lunch and sort out laundry basket etc so see you later.

Hug to all and don't let the b******* grind you down.

    Hi all.

JackieO My pet hate - as in dislike doing, as opposed to not being able to manage it any more - is cleaning shoes.:(:(:(:(:( I kid you not, I'd sooner scrub the loo 50 times over than clean shoes.
When I was a kid, as soon as I was big enough to hold the shoebrush, I had to clean my father's shoes every day, usually as soon as he'd taken them off; and he had nasty smelly feet and a vile temper (if they weren't done to perfection, there was Trouble). So from that day to this, I've loathed cleaning shoes. Luckily for me, it's a task Mr LW doesn't mind.:D

So I was pleasantly tired when I went to bed, and thought I'd sleep well.

Trouble is, when I've been out, as soon as I go to bed, my mind starts to buzz with what I've done. So, of course, I started to think about the vintage fair, but I did go off to sleep quite soon. But then I woke up every hour, on the hour! Even my insomnia doesn't follow the same patterns!

Maybe calming drinks like Ovaltine will help. Either that, or never go out, then my mind wouldn't buzz.
I'm like that, too - only with me, if I've had to interact with other people, I end up dissecting the entire conversation in my head, over and over, worrying about if I said anything stupid, or offended anyone, or how many times I lost the thread of the conversation.:( It's got to a point where I do avoid going out if I possibly can, as I find the stress too much for me.

Mr LW has been to the farmers market this morning, so we have our month's supply of cheese.:D I was waiting for him to get home, as I needed the cheese and cream to go in the quiche I was making, and he texted to say he was diverting via the car wash. Why he can't use a bucket and sponge, I don't know - but that aside, I wish he'd have dropped off the purchases first, so that I could get on.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all!
Busy morning, have been cooking various forms and flavours of chicken all morning for DS's friends leaving do, house is boiling with the 2 ovens on, but smells yummy! Last lot in, then I need to nip to shops for some double sided sticky pads, as the doorbell is hanging off!
Garage just phoned to say my new car will be in at least a week earlier than they thought, so this week will need to clear out all the gubbins from the car, its full of carp!
Nothing else going on today, will shower and beautify once I get back from the shops as the party is at 5pm!
    Have a good day all!

DH and DS are in the garden building me a vegetable trug (Not one of those overpriced ones) He is making it from scratch, all the lettuce, rocket, spring onions and cabbages can go into that. Next week he is going to build some more raised beds for things like runner beans, peas and spinach etc. Not a good time to plant this week according to the moon calendar but next week is supposed to be good, so that is when I will start sowing the seeds
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Hi all,

Hugs to those in need xx

OH has spent the morning installing a 'fat-cat flap' into the back door at the kittens had to force themselves through the normal sized one !!!!!

Lamb shanks are bubbling away in the oven, along with flapjacks and coconut sponge cakes.

Got tomorrow off, so will have a clean through and do some freezer cooking, IF I can fit more in the freezer ;)

Have a fab day all x
