Find out if there is a foodbank in your area - try googling Trussell Trust(I think that is the right name for an organisation that has a network of food banks). You need to eat properly, and eating will do DH some good too.

Driving with no tax will really not help you, as iolanthe07 says. I suggest you reconsider on the cycling. You can change in a loo and freshen up with wet wipes. I have cycled several miles to and from smart office jobs with my laptop and office wear in my rucksack or panniers. I have a beginners bike and am not great but when you think people can walk several miles in an hour you should be able to cycle the 10 miles in around 1.5-2hrs (I think more like 1.5 unless very hilly). At least then you are able to SORN the car if you can get it off the road (so save your risk of getting caught driving uninsured), and save the petrol money (possibly insurance saving too).

You can buy a bike cheap on ebay/gumtree or post a plea somewhere like freecycle. Maybe even a charity shop can help?

I'm not a cycling obsessive but I am struggling to see how else you can pay back your PDL and start meeting all your outgoings... and even buy some food.

Hopefully someone else can help with more ideas - maybe you should post an SOA?

Good luck with whatever you do and I hope your husband gets better soon - for both your sakes.

Thank you all so much for your concern. I had to sell my bike and yes I'm so so worried about car tax so I'm going to have to get another loan - SOA tomorrow when I've got everything together. Looks like Pounds to Pocket but there's nothing else I can do, so sorry all. Carol xx

    Carol,

How do you plan to pay all these loans back?

Do you have a local credit union in your area that you could turn to instead of more payday loans?

Can you maybe take in ironing or do some cleaning, babysitting or something else very local so you can bring in some extra money without having lots of travel costs? Maybe help you with clearing one of these payday loans?

I really suggest you try and get advice from someone like CAB or Christians Against Poverty or some other charity as I am concerned for you as you say you couldn't pay the MOT or tax because you had no money and now you have taken out 1 payday loan and are on to the next one. You say there is nothing else you can do - that isn't true. We've suggested options you are not willing to take instead. They aren't going to be ideal as your situation is not ideal.

I hope you can find a better solution than another payday loan as I don't know how you will afford your food etc next month with these additional repayments.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
