Using proper tile paint and a small foam roller, ours turned out well. Lasted quite a while too. It was a temp measure for us too, but it was still there 5 years later when we moved out without any problems4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Another DON'T DO IT!
No matter what some say (after doing it) painted tiles are absolutely hideous. They look cheap, tacky and just plain awful.
Seriously, step away from the paint! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

That's the plain fact, they look like painted tiles, fine if you can accept that;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

what do you do about the grouting???
Many years ago when I was on a super tight budget, I painted over my bathroom tiles, grout as well (white gloss tile paint).
Result? - well looking back, I thought it looked ok at the time....and it was an improvement on the hideous tiles that were on show.
However, as I have got older and more particular with the finish of a room, I wouldn't dream of doing it because it pretty obvious when a tile has been painted.
IMO Only do it if you have no other option i.e you are skint or it's just a temporary measure0 -

I just did mine in white, but cut out 1 square every so often and replaced with a ceramic coloured tile bought cheaply. Am so pleased with the result.

Hi Snow
I am looking for a temporary solution for hideous kitchen tiles and came across these yesterday so have been searching for others' experiences. I'm looking at using them to cover the existing tiles between the wall cupboards and work surface, including behind the sink and hob. I was wondering how you felt about them a few months on?
Thanks in advance0 -
I haven't done it myself but am considering it.
I noted in B&Q recently that you can be a special pen for going over the grouting (in white, black or beige I think) after painting. http://www.ronseal.co.uk/products/one-coat-grout-pen
You can also get spray paints for tails, which may alleviate some of the issues described here with brush marks etc.?0
