Ach shucks thanks natty ... Maybe I need to change the name though ... Croc chronicles has a good ring to it :)

Yeh, the 'Croc's Chronicles' has a better ring to it El, so gets my vote (had initially suspected this was your suggestion Butti!)

Hi El. Is it you who eats quinoa?
I have just found a box of it in the back of the cupboard. It is a year out of date-it's sealed.
    1) will it be ok?
    2) how do you cook it?
    3) what does it taste like &
    4) what do you eat it with
Please, sorry for all the questions, I've never even tried it.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi tatty ye it's me ... Quinoa simples to cook ... Put half a cup ( or there abouts) into a pan with a full cup of water, put it on to boil, boil until it swells an starts to seperate and the water has all but gone, take it off the heat and put a wee lid on the pan and leave it to sit for 5-10 mins so that the last of the water soaks in and voila you have quinoa :)

You can use it instead of rice, you can add it cold to salads etc ... It's a kinda multi use food tbh and good if your watching your protein intake as its one of the few non meat full proteins :)

You can also use it as shooting seeds if you are watching the crb intake :)

I think it will still be good to use for a wee while yet :)

Let me know if you need more info and how you get on

The taste is ok actually one of the better things I've tried ... It goes great in certain cakes etc as well ... It's kinda a universal type food really
