Hi wol, lovely to see to you hope the piggies and numpty are doing well
sold a book whilst i was away but obviously couldnt post it, so posted it today , i hope thats ok for the buyer i have sent an email explaining the situation.
Now that i am back home it's all guns ahead for dealing with C.V's new jobs etc ... came back to loads of messages from work and today have had them phone me 3 times so far ... this is after me telling them ... look dont contact me.. so will be saving their numbers into my new phone and sending a text with my new number ... in fact i am going to work today ( have to... no other choice) and i will be taking my number out of the phone and putting my new number into the works phone
right new job, i have that application form sitting waiting to be filled in for the agency work, that will be filled into today most of it will be just a case of copy and paste as i have filled these forms in before ...
will also be trying to apply for new types of jobs as well, as it wouldnt bother me too much if i left the sector i am in, in fact tbh i stand a much better chance of dayshift mon-fri if i do change sectors,
i would like to get a job that i enjoy and that i can make a difference in but just now i just need out of where i am
money wise still awaiting one last purchase to come off the visa card, it was interesting when we were in spain as i would go to the atm and lift money, i was given two options, i chose one option , i think it was where they didnt give you the price, we went to Albir and i lifted more money, in Albir the bank had a note suggesting i chose the other option as i would atleast know how much i was being charged, i didnt chose that option again and i am glad i didnt as i remember the price of the first one they quoted which was £179.99 but when it came through online it was £172.89 so the bank had obviously added a charge to it
have managed to pay the £500 to the mortgage this month so that is good, i have £128 saved so far in the Tilly Tidy account i will wait till that hits £250 then transfer that to my pension as i havnt paid anything into that for a long time
i have been giving these Tilly Tidies a lot of thought, and i so love doing this wee challenge it is keeping me much more focused than before, however i have noticed that whilst i am chucking all the money i save with them towards the debt and the debt is coming down, it is coming down at a detriment to other things, so i have a list of things i am going to put the money towards, yes the mortgage is up there but so is a pension, I.S.A savings ( both cash and shares) my garden ( i havnt spent any money on my garden this year and it is really showing ... nothing and i mean nothing is growing) also i want to save up for a dehydrator and a canner,
all of these things are going to be aimed at helping us become more self sustainable, when we retire we wont have big pensions to live off of so we need to cut down our outgoings ( hence the whole PV solar panels / wind turbines discussion etc) and dehydrating, canning and learning those important skills like sewing are up there with the whole self sustainability
we will still become debt free in time but we will concentrate on also getting some things to help us slowly be able to save more money so that we can work towards retiring early ... yes we will still be in our 60's when we retire so not really too early but we will actually be able to consider it0 -
Hey lovely
Sorry the hols weren't as you wanted. The only package thing I've ever been on is with snow, slightly different vibe.
Well done on the £500 to the mortgage and getting more self sustainable.
Sunshine in Scotland indeed.
Now have proclaimers running through my head.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Well went to work and changed all the numbers sent all the texts so fingers crossed this works0 -
Hi El, sorry your holiday was a bit of a disaster. ((Hugs)). Hopefully your next holiday will be fab!
Good luck with the garden. I've got some peas growing but the seeds I planted were from last year so I just put them all in- they have all grown so now I have about 16 plants in one pot... When do I split them and how much space do they need to grow please? Hoping you can advise... TIA xxGE 36 *MFD may 2043

I split my peas early and put them in the ground with a kinda string climbing frame for them to grow up ... I planted them about 6-8 inches apart in a row then 12 inches between rows ( I have two rows) I have a kinda wooden post in the ground with three posts going acros it at different heights then the same the other side and put string between the posts ( the three different height ones) so that the peas can climb ... Not sure if that helps or not ... Have done it that way for a few years now and it seems to work
Hope that helps0 -
I also slowly introduced them to the outside so that they acclimatised0

Thanks El. I just planted mine straight into a pot outside. They have come up really quickly.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
