So today I have to go to work for two hours for training, we have to do this training every year, it will cost me £8 to he there and back and I will earn a whole £9 for going ... Making it a grand total of £1 in overtime left in my wage for a mess up to my whole day ... There are a few of us moaning but what can u do you have to go an meet a guy that has never in a work situation operated a machine just to let him tell you how to operate a machine that you use every day at work.
In other news
Son has had some distressing health news, I'm not gonna lie when I heard my heart dropped outa my body ... The inlaws laughed it off as fil was diagnosed with it himself and thinks its nothing ( his diagnose was overturned) whilst I can understand how they don't see it as potentially serious I was livid at their reaction to a young 20 something year old crying his wee heart out ( he went there after finding out as they live very close to him )
Finally son got a hold of me and we talked about it, he knows I know the possible real situation so we got an emergency plan of action in place, his work provides private health care so he is going to go there and get the diagnosis either confirmed or changed, it is highly unlikely he has this medical situation as it rarely develops before 35 an even rarer gets diagnosed before mid 50's so for him to be diagnosed early 20's is very rare indeed ... What shocked me was the way in which the dr he saw was willy bulky going to give him prescriptions some of which could potentially have very severe side effects ... All this without thoroughly checking the diagnosis as it is rare ... Obviously an over worked dr that just sees the problem so looks for the medication to administer instead of thinking outside the box ... Thankfully son is a bit like his mum in that our health ( though we are self destructive) is very important to us so we find out and learn various things
Money wise the £250 for the savings has been sent to the account it should be the holiday spends came in at £460 ish which is slightly better than expected
We went to the travel agents yesterday as we had started worrying about will turkey be as bad as where we just were etc so we have calmed down with that and are happy with where we are staying0 -

Link for the hotel tell me what you think
We now have to concentrate on spending money the girl informed us that gen she goes all inclusive she takes roughly £500 spending money per week ... We were thinking £200 for our full stay as we are all inclusive but obviously will need to revisit that idea ... We also want to go out for food etc if we don't like the food offered, I think this will be our first an. Last all inclusive as we like to eat out but mr el has never done an all inclusive an has had so many people tell him how great they are so wanted to try one0 -
Looks nice El, have only been on one all inclusive but didn't spend much at all. Less than £150 I think but was just me and DS and only paid for a couple of day trips and ate in the hotel. Hated the entertainment but it was too far out to do much else so we just played pool or footie on the beach:DMortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Thanks skinty, yeah I think it looks nice myself
So today I ticked one thing of my 101 list, I played tennis with my son, when I say tennis I mean I hit a ball with a racquet a few times ... It was hard work but we laughed and laughed and laughed our buts off ... Was great fun and we plan on doing it more often0 -
right thats been 6 months and still no sign of Z ... i miss him alot ... like ALOT ALOT ... i hope he is well
Z if your reading this please know i miss ya and hope your well xxxx0 -
Today I have been so ill, I just feel loaded with the cold and all sore, you know that bone / muscle sore ?
I'm not due back to work till tomorrow but have phoned in sick for tomorrow night and will phone back tomorrow about Saturday and Sunday nights, I haven't been off sick in nearly 2.5 years ( even when I had the "Tia " I went to work ... In fact the day I had it I did a 14.5 hr shift)
But just now I feel like keeck so I'm taking some time off ... Will need to figure out a way to make the money back up but that's a worry for another day0 -
Son has been visiting with his GF, he got his results from uni and managed a 2/2 he knows he should've done better, in fact he should've got a first but he is accepting that basically he didn't put the work in so go hat he deserved.
He managed to get a hold of the private medical place but his company have altered the insurance now, he has to pay £125 upfront fees, so he will need to work that out.
He did however drop a clanger on me, I knew he planned on going back to work but I was not aware that he only intended on going back for a few months, he feels that in order to do his best at his masters he has to not work again, his company won't give him a second sabbatical so soon so he may need to hand in his notice, he also intends on remortgaging his house to pay for his fees tbh it made me more determined than ever not to be the one footing his course bill, I haven't too his dad yet and tbh I am not relishing the thought of it as I know mr el will not be happy, not to worry we can deal with that at the weekend I think ... But I can see a bit of a bumpy road ahead
Mr el is not looking forward to him moving back home, I can understand why, I would love to take lodgers in to help us reach our target faster but mr el needs his own space otherwise he gets stressed, he was stressed with son just being here tonight and landed up going for a long walk then disappeared down stairs and played his guitar whilst I dealt with everything so I think it will deff be a challenge when he moves in... I am not sure how he intends on keeping himself whilst he lives here but we can't do it and I am loathe to work more hours
Never mind I am just gonna deal with my cold just now, that's enough for me to be getting on with I think0 -
Still feel terrible .com
But wages came in today.... So bills paidthat's always a good thing, mr el also got extra in his wage as they reached targets or something so I have booked his bike into getting serviced and with the rest have reached the next £250 ( Tilly tidies plus the extra from the bonus) so will be paying this into my pension so that that's another wee thing ticked off... Next thing I think I will save towards is the mortgage as I would like to pump a wee but extra into that
Although I feel dreadful with a runny nose etc, I am feeling more positive about the holiday, debt and savings ... Not even thought of son situation at all will maybe start thinking about that today, what we are willing to offer, what house rules we want etc ... Obviously it will only be a loose plan until we talk to son and find out exactly what his wants/needs are but I think knowing what we want will be a good starting point, hubby is still down, he has been down from before we went away ... I'm sure it's just gonna take time0 -
((Hugs)) El. Hope you're feeling better soon Hun.
Good plan taking some time out to get yourself better Hun.
Sorry Mr El is feeling down, hope he picks up soon.

thanks tatty, he will do its just gonna take time, i think its something he will suffer with the rest of his life, he has always had it tbh, but he just never admitted it before, now though he knows what it is so can atleast say i am feeling down rather than just exploding at things for unknown reasons
so have paid £250 into the pension fund will need to wait till august for the tax relief to be added, so i will just leave it as cash till then i am not exactly in a hurry, i aint gonna retire for a wee while anyway lol0
