Thanks Taxi and Butti, spent most of yesterday in bed an went back to bed today as well as I just feel very weak

Think I will be better tomorrow though as I don't feel just as bad today

I'm kinda frustrated with lack of energy etc though as I want to spend time in the garden and I want to clean my house but just don't have the energy

I have however been reading the forums ( and asking advice) and been thinking more on the retirement plans for both mr el and myself so at least I haven't been sitting doing nothing

Retirement is quite complicated ain't it ?
  • Hi El, hope you are feeling better now and retirement is massively complicated

    Thanks Tilly,

well today i feel human yay ... i think tomorrow i will be back to normal ... even better

yep the pension stuff is really complicated, i am trying to work out the best way for us, so far i am thinking that the personal pension that i have so far will need to do me and i will just pay any more money into an I.S.A for several reasons ... but just now we are playing about with it all, i think when we are debt free we will then get our retirement plans organised, in the mean time i will keep plowing money into the I.S.A like i am currently.

i have 5 years wages to save anyway as mr el and i plan on retiring at the same time, and as i am 5 years younger than him i need to save 5 years wages, then i think we will turn our efforts into getting mr el to retire a year earlier ( any myself) then two years etc... with a little bit saved for money when we do retire,

not fully sure yet what we will do so just now its a case of putting a bit of money by every month so that when we come to making the olans we have some saved already :)

had a facebook message from my brother today telling me my dad has been rushed into hospital, then i got an email from a sister in australia telling me she is getting the next flight home,

dont really know what to make of it all tbh, am i expected to go and see him? its a ten hour plus drive for me and i would need to pay for a hotel etc if i went ... tbh, i dont want to go, its a long story but i really have had enough of it all, mr el suggested that i may regret it, and maybe i will, but i somehow doubt it. i put all that behind me years ago ... and found when i was told i was more thinking along the lines of " why are you telling me this?" " have i ever given any impression that i care or am interested?"

will see how it pans out i spose, but i cant see me rushing down anytime soon

To be fair to your siblings maybe they are not assuming anyone will get in touch with you so all deciding individually that you should be given the option just unfortunate you have quite a few! Do what you think is right and don't feel pressurised by anyone.

Glad you are feeling a bit more like yourself.

This is very true Skinty and I can understand it tbh ... And if I were in their shoes I would probably do the same

Spose it's one of those big family things :)

I'm at the humdrum stage between wages going in and bills being paid, I don't know why I keep checking my bank accounts, I k ow nothing comes off till Thursday, and yet I find myself checking them anyway, looking for any movement so that I can Tilly tidy, or tick a bill off for the month, I keep checking my visa as well to see if there's any movement on that also, there is due to be some movement on that but it's already accounted for

Today's jobs, take mr el's bike up to get serviced, get a few things in asna, full in the application form I finally got into PDF from adobe ( that was a nightmare ) see if any of the application forms,cv's i did last week have got anywhere, spend some time in the garden ( the bit I'm really looking forward to :) )

So enough to keep me going me thinks :)
  • Enjoy the peace in the garden. Hope the veg are growing well :)

I'm the same and check my bank accounts every day :o

Hope you are feeling 100% now.

    Best wishes Tilly x x
