If it's that bad can you ask to get transferred to a different hotel - even if it costs? Better to pay more money and enjoy your holiday than stay where you are and have a wasted week :(
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Ugh El ... you do seem to be having a time of it again lately :(

Sorry I don't have any witty (or even nonwitty) things to add that others haven't said already, and I've no experience with the rest of it to be able to utter any nonsense on that either :o

Sorry the holiday is not proving a success, that always feels worse than not having one in the first place :(

At least it's time away from work ? ;)

Maybe even ask if you can get moved to a different floor? Are there any interesting trips you can go on? I'm thinking you'll be so shattered you'll notice the noise less? And go get some earplugs quick!

p.s. I like a bit of Clapton me:o I would be annoyed if I could hear it in my room though when I wasn't playing it...

Ask if you can be moved to a room with quiet air conditioning (and given an air rifle so you can pick the cats off! (hate mail from cat lovers))

The soft earplugs work for me - I have to wear them every night because the combination of the heating clunking in and my housemate getting up for work at 5 always wakes me up!

    Hey all

Thanks for the messages indeed them to keep me sane at present, I can't reply to individual ones as I have the slowest of slow Internet connections ( that keeps kicking me off ) and I'm using mr els iPod that has a slow processor or something ... I tried to hit the reply button several times but the iPod went into melt down,

Slept till 2.30 today then went down and had lunch came back and the family were all sunbathing, felt obliged to join them so covered myself in factor 50 and 3 towels ( you know those ones you out in the sun beds) and sat and peered our of my glasses at the world... I could lie and tell you it was fun but I have yet to master the art of deception,

I have figured out how mr el I managing to hold it together, he has not been sober since we got to the airport, it's stressing me out a bit tbh but I know that that's how I managed Vegas so can relate a bit, tonight we went to see a rock band and it just got too much for me ... I sat and cried as I can't see how I can manage to last the week, I know I will as I have no other choice, but this is so not my idea of a holiday , thankfully it's quieter tonight so hopefully I will get a sleep, we have spent £250 in two days, I can think of things I would rather spend that amount of money on, my mortgage for example, but it I what it is and I won't be able to change it

I think I may need to take up some serious drinking to get through the week as I don't have any teeth left to grind

Glad your not here ... And I mean that in the nicest possible way xxx

P.s it's probably a good job I'm not on Facebook as my rants whilst funny would probably upset some people :)

    Hey all,

Have struggled to get online, so may get kicked off shortly :(

Well last night's funtertainment was the joyous wonder of comedy, comedy is a very subjective subject and what one person thinks is funny another ten will hate, but when you are the comedian it is not a good idea to slate your core audience members, he wondered why not many laughed at the Jeremy vile jokes ... Eh mate half you audience were on the show,

I like my comedy to be like Dave Goram Like his google whack show hilarious IMHO, a guy telling a story about an adventure he went on without the need to slate anyone on his journey ... Instead we got Irish, scouser, Geordie , Nigerian, polish, wife and mother in law jokes ... I can't say anything polite about it do I think I will just let you imagine the hell I was in

Anybody that has to belittle others to try and be funny ain't worth diddly squat in my book
