    Lovely to read El xx
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

felling almost human today, slight remainder of a headache but i can think which is a great relief from yesterday were i couldnt think or concentrate at all,

have paid the visa for the month and have £68.45 to Tilly tidy for the month ... i do like to Tilly tidy the pennies every day ( more than once a day to be fair) but i have to admit this idea of £68.45 is also good.
  • That's a whopping TT - it's surprising how they mount up :T

Glad to hear you are feeling better today, take it easy x x x

It is Tilly, I just transferred the money over into two accounts ... One for when bills etc came out and one for uneven spends on the visa ... Ie:£1.48 spent on the visa then £2 transferred ... The visa bill came in and between the two accounts that's what's left ... It was a pleasant surprise :)

I sometimes think none of us pause often enough to appreciate the good things we do have, most of us are more wrapped up in what things we want to change :(

Thank you for reminding me that I should do so :A

Fab Tilly you had there too :T

it is very easy to get caught up in life, i often find that for me life gets in the way of living, but every now and then ( and probably no where near as often as i should) it is nice to take that step back and recognise and appreciate what you have, i was watching mr el play his guitar the other day, he plays his guitar much more now than he ever did, it relaxes mr el when he feels stressed, for me i find him playing and humming or singing along relaxing, sometimes he gets the mouth organ out and has a wee shot on that as well ( that is his portable de-stressor lol ) i also find it great that he has this out let now to help him, where as before he bottled it all up and it escalated till he would explode.

Then the other day when the sun was out ( summer was a tuesday this year :)) he came in from work made his food and sat out on the verandah for hours, when i eventually got out of bed ( it was the day i had been to hospital so i slept most of it) and came out he was all relaxed looking, i thought back to how he used to be, he would come in have his dinner then moan about he has x,y, and z to do before he can enjoy the sunshine, and would spend the night doing x,yand z and be moaning and unhappy the whole time, now he thinks well x,y,and z will be there tomorrow the sun might not be so i am going to look after me for a bit. These may not seem like big changes in fact they are quite small, but the difference within him is notable. He has had to break down all his childhood learning and see which suit him as an adult, he has rejected alot of it, but keeps the the things that are useful to him :) .

so i am having a very very un mse weekend, my friend won a competition for two nights dinner( we think) bed and breakfast, at a place a 5 hour drive and 2 hour boat journey* with an activity organised for one of the days, we will get £75 towards filling up the car but we will be spending alot of money. Unfortunately my friend wont be able to go so has asked mr el and i to step in, i am very much looking forward to it, but i know we will spend a lot of money on incidentals, so i am making those nut bars i put up on Tilly's thread and were making coffee for the journey, trying to cut costs as much as we can but still expecting to spend alot of money.

I am however so very looking forward to it as it is one of those places i have wanted to go to for such a long time but we couldnt afford it with going to the other holidays that we have, thankfully atleast most of the cost had been absorbed for us

    * not correct driving time etc given to protect the identity *

So we are having to use some of our spending money for our holiday in 3 weeks time, and thats ok as by the time we get back from our other holiday we will be closer to pay day and the visa bill for the holiday will be on that ... incase its confusing for anyone, we will be using the visa bill as our spending money abroad, due to the no fee and correct exchange rate that the visa gives us ( best way of working our foreign money for the last 3-4 years)
