Sorry Mr El has been Avignon a blip, hope he improves well.
I am such a believer in little targets, they really keep you going until the big "reward" ones.
I am trying to think of my OPs in terms of £10s. I can (quite) often pay off £10, whilst the overall figure is slightly more terrifying..."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -
Went for a wee walk again last night, mr el was kinda snappish to start with but settled down towards the end.
Pay day today, money has been shifted to where it needs to go so I'm just waiting for the direct debits to start filtering out of the various accounts, the money for the coming months spends on the visa has been put into a seperate account so that I can slowly filter it into another account as it gets used, this is the kinda plan I've came up with to ensure I don't go mental with the visa, the money that is in the account is all I have that's it not a penny more, so if we decide to spend the money on penny sweeties then that's it, that's all we have
Still trying to think of a suitable savings type challenge so will keep working with my bits of paper and pen
Thanks everyone for the support0 -
I'm liking the idea of smaller targets through catshark so think I will be thinking along those lines0

Just checked my feedback on amazon, I'm very impressed with it ... Maybe I should've asked for more money:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Hi El, I love pay day and am very envious that yours is today!
I do the same as you, make sure all DDs go out on the 1st of each month, as I get paid on 28th. I love that day, seeing how the numbers tumble down!
Also love to have a look at my noddle report when it arrives.
Is that a bit sad?;)

Yep Catriona pay day is one if my fave days , sometimes I feel I'm just plodding on till the next one lol, mr el gets paid on the 15th of the month and I get paid at the end, so in a way I'm lucky as I get two pay days, used to get 4 a month when I did my old second job as it paid fortnightly so it worked out every week we would have money coming in, it's weird but we obviously didn't manage out money as well then as we were deeper in debt and didn't really have a clue about budgeting.
Have thankfully sold another two books, have also got another person lined up to take advantage of my talents, this person is having something different from the others, so slightly less money but still enough to make it well worth my while, have also managed to tie them in with my other two people so that it works out all things will be achieved in the one day and on the one trip ( so less expense for me)
I am quite happy with this, although I am trying to think maybe I should put this money that I will be earning ( after tax obviously) into a specific account as part and parcel if a savings challenge.
Mr el and I went down to visit his parents yesterday, his aunty and cousins were there ( which is actually weird cause I just worked out one of them was his cousin an her husband ... Obviously they wernt that close lol) it was great to catch up with them and we all went out to the local carvery, hubby and I were treated by his parents which was very nice and saved us some moneyas we were out all day till 9pm as well we didn't have the heating on, so the house was freezing when we got back, but we didn't put the heating in then we just nipped into bed ... Mr el asked if that was frugal enough for me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Today I am doing a 10 hour shift at work as toil which I will take in April so I am ok about doing it, just got another 13.5 hours left to do this month as overtime and then that me done0 -
Just reading back on my last post... Once again I am in my phone ... It shows lol0

Incidentally can someone explain what a noddle report is ?0
-
Is noddle one of the companies like experian... seem to think that one of them disappeared and then re-appeared as noddle0
-
I don't now what a noddle report is, but I discovered (at a local auction), what a hot noodle fork is....
It is a twisting, battery operated fork that came with pot noodles and was clearly hard to spell.... !"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0
