Have you thought of getting Mr El one of them daylight lights to up his vitamin D? Supposed to be very good for 'the glums' tho' I haven't tried one myself. I am on happy pills but becoming much more aware of how I'm doing. Having said that I have a time lag and don't realise the gradient of up or down. I use https://www.moodscope.com as it does nice graphs of just how I'm doing. It's only 20 quick questions so it may be something that Mr El feel like doing.

you will be glad when you are finished the radiotherapy, i have my fingers and toes crossed that this is the last of it for you honey xxx
Hi El, sorry to hear about Mr El. Hopefully having your remortgage through will take some of the pressure off.

    Good luck with your planning.

    Best wishes Tilly

Thanks Tilly, i took mr el out for a walk tonight and will try and keep that up for a while ( he is trying running as well but that doesnt seem to be helping) i've noticed he seems to have seperation anxiety, as i am working alot of shift work just now he seems to be missing me more, i think that kinda highlights my need for getting the right new job as opposed to just any new job ... he will get there though i am sure of it, i think the walk did him some good so far

Hope Me El improves - having the money will probably ease one burden. Next to get job sorted!

Enjoy playing with the money - I know it's bill paying, but with quantities like that it's a bit like Monopoly :D.

it was exactly like monopoly money GG... i was rubbing my hands in glee and buying up property in my head ... was a very enjoyable experience :)

well ... i transferred money to where it should be, i phoned the people i needed to sorted out what needed doing and slowly i have a more complete picture, those Tilly tidies really have made a dent into the debt, i have already made in roads into the new mortgage and will have the big mortgage overpaid by £500 shortly :) it feels really good to have control over things better, not having to think of £25 for this and £100 for that etc ...

have sold another two books so will get them posted tomorrow, i think ( although will re double check tonight at work) that i have made it down to £699 a month so that is great ... i have started organising the visa with the £5 a month payment and how i am going to keep on top of that ( i WILL NOT go back to where we were )

i am going to speak to my boss about taking toil for the extra hours worked, we need to spend time together till mr el is better, so if i have to do these shifts just now i am going to take them in toil as he needs me and that comes first. i have looked again for more jobs, i am going to keep brain storming other ways to earn money ( incidently i did my second week of the work i am doing self employed the other day) i have to change days for the next two weeks for that as the boss has me working, i do however happen to have a person from head office coming to meet me on monday to discuss healthy living as i have offered to take a few projects on for the team and i will be discussing my other talents and letting her know i am available for treatments ( you never know this could be a nice wee earner)

i am actively dealing with things but going at a more slowly measured pace in accordance with mr el's needs

Got money in today for the books so paid half to the second mortgage and half to the savings, I feel renewed in our efforts to clear things off will be working out exactly how much were paying in interest per day shortly.

Mr El seems a wee bit better, we went for a walk both last night and tonight, I noticed tonight he was much more willing to talk but I didn't mention anything, when I came into work he phoned and thanked me for the walk explaining that he is slowly feeling a bit better, hopefully he has started to turn the corner again, this time he has been down bad for a couple if weeks ...

Very true taxi and tatty, it's gonna be baby steps for a wee while till he is more at himself ... Will see how he is today and have a better idea if he has turned the corner or not

I worked it out that we are less than £6 a day in interest £5.97 is how I worked it out.

So as well as having my target of being less than £700 a month (£699 next month so far, so I am now taking it down to £675) I am going to try for a target if £5.75 a day interest and see how quick I can get that down as well

So two wee challenges to keep me focussed on getting rid if this debt.

Seeing as how I have a couple of challenges for debt reduction I should really work on a challenge or two for savings increase .... Hmmmm will need to put my thinking cap on
  • Loving the positivity El, and I can just picture you working your way round a monopoly board as you bought up each "debt", what a great visualisation tool that would make !

Hope Mr El keeps on improving and is soon back to himself.

    Angel xx

PS - Can you lend me some of that in a bottle please :rotfl:
