Please excuse what is probably a basic question, i'm fairly new to this game.
Any way , whats the best ,most convenient way of continually moving money around in order to satisfy the t&c . If you have multiable accounts in the same place. Furthermore , how long does it take to move say £1k into an account and out again and into another.
Standing order and it will be out and back in within minutes, if not seconds.

make sure it goes externally though to fill the t&c's.

I cant imagine that they would let me setup 12 of them (£30k), surely? If so, maybe worth keeping £1 in a couple of lloyds vantages and leaving full amount in one and then putting £12K from there into some of these (5). Going to get a funny look if they ever see that I have that many!

there is still uncertainty about if you only get 5% on the first account. multiple phone calls from various members including myself have heard staff say there is no limit to the number of account and they all earn 5%

but then one person has said otherwise. no doubt they will clarify this in the coming days. BUT they will have some big complaints if they now limit it!

remember each time you open one they do a FULL credit check...

Shouldn't effect me the credit rating. I have a 0% interest lloyds platinum credit card that I use to pay for my petrol (to build up credit rating) and pay off full amount by standing order as soon as I can from my lloyds accounts. Dont have mortgage (and dont think ill be getting one for another 2-3 years), dont have a car on finance, dont have anything that requires being lent money and wont need to borrow money until mortgage.

I find it extremely unfair that, the more they check your credit rating, the worse it can become. I mean, I think it is incredibly financially sensible for anyone (let alone a 20 year old) to be opening up lots of different accounts and getting optimum benefits/interest rates and looking after the money to the best of my ability, rather than spending it carelessly . Ah well. Such is life.
  • I am a nationwide customer. I have tried to open a FlexDirect account but I could not do it. It said:

"We are sorry but we are unable to offer you an account today based on the information you have given us.

Thank you for taking the time to apply today"

What I am doing wrong? any idea?

    thank you!

We don't know what information you told them (and don't want to know)

We don't know Nationwides account acceptance criteria.

All we know is that they didn't like the information you gave them.

    So how would we know?

But... you did apply AFTER logging into internet banking, right?

How else would you suggest they catch the desperate credit seekers?
