how can i find out where i can drop off
When I looked at their site there was a link in the text which appeared to be dead but there was another at one side of the page.0 -
So, the bulky items I sell that weigh under 750g and cost me £3.15 to post now (2nd recorded) are now going to cost £6.30 minimum?!
Have I got that right? I'm flabbergasted by the increase :-(0 -
Also, do My Hermes track every parcel?0

I am looking at diff couriers now, as in a few weeks I will be back on track sellling again on the bay, It is mainly clothes, which I pack in the plastic posting bags
Just wondering which would be the best to use, as I want to charge a standard price.
Collect plus Says £3.99 for a 'jiffy' bag 2kgs
Myhermes are cheaper, but don't have a close enough drop off pointWork to live= not live to work0 -
has anyone used dispatchbay?
I have signed up, but am a bit confused, as I done a trial address etc, and instead of quoting £2.48 it quoted £6.13, is the diff the one off payment for the box label?
I want to see if I can get on with the site before I deposit any money.Work to live= not live to work0 -

That sounds like you are being quoted the main ParcelForce economy rate.
When you set up your account, did you select to use the packets service? If you go into your account "service settings" (press the account button in the row of big buttons near the top of the page, then service settings from the menu at the side) check whether you have ticked "use Despatch Bay packets". This needs to be ticked to see it as an option when you book to send something.
Then when you book (press the "send" button from the big buttons near the top of the page) you'll see that there is a drop-down box on the top right for parcel weight - select "up to 1.5kg" to get the packet rate come up.
HTH.
PS I assume you meant Despatch Bay, otherwise ignore everything I said ;-)They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
I'm tempted to use myhermes today, I have a buyer who has made a lot of different purchases from me and has just said to send it however I want .
Box is just under 2KG and has a value under £30- might be a good one to try MyHermes on...I'm just not sure.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Well, that was a big fat failure.
Tried to register on MyHermes site but I can't, as soon as I click 'drop off at shop' I get a pop up screen showing me the local shops and I can't do anything from there. I've tried sel;ecting a shop and nothing happens, I've tried clicking and returning to registartion screen and it just reverts back to collect from my address.
I've tried getting a quote and accepting it and once again I cannot opt for drop off at shop, I cna only have item collected.
I've tried phoning (at 10p per minute) and was warned there was a long delay in being able to respond to my call.
I've checked the small print plus the flyer I have and it tells me to drop off *after* printing my label.
Oh well, back to RM today then and maybe I will have to look into a business aco!!!! with RMI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OK, I just tried again, if you click constantly on the shop you want on the pop up menu it eventually asks you to confirm that you really do want to drop it off. Click that and confirm and it alows you to proceed.
The introduction code that the shop gave me doesn't work- but I've given up worrying and just gone ahead without a discount as I've spent so much time fiddlign baout with this already.

Dropped parcel off before 11 am this morning, tracking shows it is still in shop.
Please tell me this isn't going to be another Collect plus style fiasco under a different name.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
