  • A further £25 overpaid on that loan. Still at 7% another £80 to overpay before 8% is reached.

I'll be relisting and free listing on eBay this weekend to get some more funds in. Small amount made this week but it all adds up in the end once fees and postage costs have been paid out.

H all. About £10 made on Ebay, relisted the rest yesterday and got £4 bid so far :j

Getting my Child benefit tomorrow, which would usually get spent on Milk/Clothes for kids/days out etc but is going straight to debt 2b as only got 12 days til we need to pay it so that will be another 3% to add to the pot. Hopefully O2 will give me my full quoted amount for my gadgets so thats another 2.something%. Leaving us with £300ish to pull out of next months wage. Then we can call up and pay £5537 to HMRC and be done with it

Friend still owes me £32 and another owes me £13.50 so thats £45.50 ill hopefully see before March too :)

Then its on to debt 3 which is the car balloon payment (£2137 to pay in October) and plodding on with debt 1 just paying minimum as on 0% til next May (CC, currently at about £4200). Going to shift that onto another 0% CC come next May and then focus on some savings as will only have the mortgage and the loan then and with it being much more manageable than it has been id like to focus on a buffer.

Speaking of savings im doing the £1 a day challenge and aiming to have £365 come end of December which im hoping to get the family some new clothes/stuff in the January sale - We always miss out because we are usually skint in January!

I said i wanted it back so they offered me £33 to "save them posting it back". I still said no so thats coming back and im selling it to my friend for £70 plus post as it definitely doesnt have any damage other than a few light scratches on the casing! The ipad is being traded still so thats still jsut over 1%

Right have reviewed my accounts and OH and I have decided to tackle this slightly differently so we have cleared another apr which was at 26.93% and was sitting at £413.18 in January so we have now selected our 1% to be thrown at £828.97 which is also sitting at 26.93% so our 1% are now £8.30 to round up. Hoping to get rid of this one in about 4 months.

    So 22/2/14 - £0/£828.97
  • Member No. 225 on the home straight now.... 4.5% to go which is £170.00 left to pay off my final and largest credit card debt. I am aiming to have this paid off next week as its payday.

This will be the end of my Unsecured Debt which, a year ago, stood at £3,894.00. I'm really chuffed with myself - being a single parent, it hasn't been easy. My DD is due to go to University in September which will mean a change in finances for me and my other two DDs.

Its by no means the end of my Debt free journey, as I have two Secured Debts made up of my Legal Aid bill following my D.I.V.O.R.C.E. and Mortgage Current Account which was run up by the Ex whilst we were still together. Its kinda landed on my doorstep and seeing as the house is now in my name, I guess Im the one gonna be paying it. I'll post the full amounts once I've got to the finish line with the U/S debt next week.

Its been a real help tackling the debt in % terms, makes if feel real and that you're actually hacking away at the debt and getting somewhere.

Good luck to all those still plugging away at the debt, I'll be back next week to start tackling my secured debts.:j

Please can I join? I've just read this from the beginning and it seems perfect for what I want to do!

I'm currently on a dmp and want to make overpayments on it when I can so was thinking if I tried to save £500 I could then make this overpayment and then start saving again. Makes it easier doing it this way and focussing on a smaller sum than the bigger amount I owe!

    so my 1% would be £5 :)

I've just counted up my penny jar to start with :o and I have £17.60 in there! So already up to 3.5% :T

I had this problem with O2 as well with an older iPhone. They said the camera wasn't working so offered me a quarter of what they originally quoted. I asked for it back and the camera was working so I sold it on ebay! :)
