I upgraded from Flexaccount to Flexdirect in December when the interest rate was 2%... so I was delighted to get a letter saying they were increasing my interest rate to 5% in line with the new offer! Thanks Nationwide for considering existing customers.0

Could not believe what I was hearing.
Never banked with Nationwide before. Rang to ask how many accounts I could open. Long wait while the staff poured through the FAQs, asked managers without any luck. Eventually they had to ring the Boss at home on his mobile to clarify how many customers were allowed. The Boss had spent months developing and setting up this new Flex 5% Account and sorting out all the problems - apart from this one.
So sounds very much like a boat charting into new territory, if you have to ring the guy at home on his day office to see what the rules are!!!!!!
So 4 it is then.
NW are telling us anything on the phonelines. After many hours wasted and moving money after being told the same. Now today they tell you but only 1 of the flexdirects will pay the 5% interest. I really hope this BOSS WILL NOT BE GETTING A BONUS.
Thanks for previous comments Yes sadly we cannot rely on what they tell us over the phone, we have to read the T & C's Thanks all.0 -

The limit was there from when the start, when the account went live. It's not anyone else's fault you decided not to read the T&Cs which you had to agree to before the account was opened!redballoon919 wrote: »I really hope this BOSS WILL NOT BE GETTING A BONUS.
Oh he probably will, as this account will be very popular, so his bonus will probably be in the millions.0 -
99 dreams I have had.
In every one a red balloon.
It's all over and I'm standing pretty.
In this dust that was a city.
If I could find a souvenier.
Just to prove the world was here.
And here is a red balloon
I think of you and let it go.0 -
everyone needs to get a grip, rather than ask the same questions over and over again, JUST TRY IT YOURSELF and see what happens, worst case scenario it doesn't work and close down he 3 accounts!
But what if you open 4 accounts, get 15k overdraft and stuff them in cash isas and savings accounts and only use 1 for the 5%?aint that a bad idea....0 -
Anyone struggling with the application they should enter next weeks Ant and Decs Saturday takeaway 'quiz'. I just happened to be flicking around (honest) and this account was the second prize (after a caravan!!).
I kid you not0 -
