Hello everybody and Happy St David's Day, I have Welsh ancestry but have no favourite over daffs or tulips! Well late entry for me on here today but I've been really

A few years ago, My Aunt Started to do a family tree. She did In the end get quite far back. Around 200 years I think.
Anyway. Non of the family new this at the time. But My Mum's Great Grand dad. Came from north wales. He was a Miner. And from what has been worked out with dates and other bits of research, He come over here. to the Black Country from North wales because of the work drying up.

So I also have welsh ancestry,:j:j I don't really celebrate ST Davids day. in fact, if the MSE banner had not said happy ST Davids day when I loged on this morning I would never have known. Until someone else had posted it.

Family History is great. It can tell us so much about our self's.

Most Of My Mum's Family. inc Us have always loved holiday's In north Wales. Two of my Mums Brother both own Holiday homes there. A lot Of the family have always felt come contact with the place. But always Just put In down to have nice the place was and how much they enjoy going there. This was untill The family tree was done. And goes some way to explain it. Both of My uncles have owned the Holiday homes Long before it came out about the Great granddad coming from there.

Now The one holiday home, You would not really class as a holiday home.
Let Me explain. Its a three story Vic Semi. it has 4 bedroom's and a box room. 2 on suit. and another two bathrooms. two Living rooms and a dining room. A large breakfast Kitchen a ulity room. a very large cellar. It also has a glass house built on the back.
And two out buildings. The place was really run down when my uncle first Got the place. he has spent many hours and much money of fixing the place up.

The place is fantastic. But bear in mind His full time house Is a 1930's Three bed semi. With no on suit Just the one bathroom Not even a down stair loo.:rotfl::rotfl: And the other place he calls an Holiday home :D:D

I hate that T3sc0 in East Hunsbury. Just trying to park is a night mare. It used to be my patch when I was a community midwife!

See, I much prefer parking there to Weston Favell, although thats my local to work store, so I just walk over from the police station!

Kingston in MK is the worst for parking I think, I hate that place. :o

DGD Charlotte (aged 3) went home at 6.30pm, after we had a great day of finger painting, playing pirates, tell the time game ( she knows every o'clock and half past o'clock) dominoes, noughts & crosses and snap. We made the pies together and then she had a bath and we read some stories. She can read Biff and Chipbooks aged for 6yr olds.
She clung on to me when DH had to take her home pleading to stay. :(
It breaks my heart when she leaves. DD is a brilliant Mum to her and I can't fault her at all, it's just that Charlotte has a 1 2 1 with me and baby sister can't spoil games.

I know this post isn't about what I've cooked or cleaned or saved on shopping but I think this is the real OS. Mums and Nans always being there for the family. :o

Yes I agree totally - we only use that one when we go to C0stc0. I used to live near the Weston Favell one so quite like that one. I remember when it was built and how as a child it was such an adventure to go shopping there! I am in fact very familiar with all places around Northampton with a loo as much needed when I used the car as a office!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
