Afternoon all, Happy St Davids Day to all!
I must admit to being a daffodil lover myself. Tulips are lovely but i love daffodils. I think its the colour as i love yellow almost as much as i love pink.
Ive been out with my daughter most of the day. We did a bit of baby shopping and stuff and ive only just got back.
Managed to do the household chores before i went though theres still stuff to do before tea.
Good news, hubby is back at work today. I'm so relieved i can tell you. I think he wanted a few more weeks off but he had a job offer he couldnt refuse so off he went, moaning all the way.
Tea tonight will be chicken. I forgot the potatoes when i was out so it will be a toss up between going to the shop (a Dairy Milk is calling) or chips.
I think i'll go to the shop.:D
Son will be late from college and he's off out apparently. Hubby will be back late (he's gone on the train).
Peace reins!

Afternoon all,
I'm another one who loves tulips. My absolute favourite, probably because I was born in February. Everyone knows I love them, I got three lots for my birthday:D
Managed to get my jobs done, did an Aldi shop managed to go slightly over the budget but I made the mistake of going when I was hungry, never a good idea. Got plenty of meals though, should last us a long while.
Another one struggling with dieting, I must must get back on track:oStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Busy day for me pottering about doing Little Jobs around the house.
I went to the butcher this morning. I got My two Turkey thighs for
£5.00... I also Picked a brisket Up. £6.35. The same size a could of years ago would have been just under £5.00. Its only a small one. But the Girls will be at home this week for there Sunday Dinner and they have asked for beef and Yorkshire puds for Dinner. Girls after my own heart:j:j The Joint will be big enough for the four of us. but there wont be any left over for Dinner on Monday.
Dinner tonight for the Girls Beans on Toast. And some cake for pudding.
They have had a cooked Lunch at school today. They are off to Girls Brigade tonight , they have a cooked Lunch on a Friday quite a lot. its a lot easier to do that and then give them something quick on a night . It can be a bit of a Rush getting them back sorted out and then off out to Girls Brigade.
Dinner for my wife and I tonight will be steak and chips. Quite and easy for us too. My wife and the Girls wont get back until Just after 8:00pm tonight. By the time the Girls have been put to bed and our food is sorted it will be after 9:00pm.
Well I hope that you are all enjoying st Davids day. Or Just your normal Friday.
Enjoy your evening all:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Happy St David's day

Haven't heard from flutterby in a while, I hope she is ok.
Really cold here today and I just can't warm up, I don't want to put the heating on if I can help it, just too expensive now, so I am going to snuggle on the sofa with my duvet.
Can't be asked to cook so it is egg, chips and mushrooms tonight.
Had the clinic his morning and my blood pressure is way too high, but at least my glucose levels are going down. They got my prescription sorted, but they have lost my glucose log book aaaaaargh!
I have to have more tests as well ...hey ho such is life, have to go back in 3 weeks, so we shall see if it mysteriously turns up.

Halight - hope you've been eating healthily today;)
I shall be on dog walking duties on my own as DH is out of action.

Had a lovely day with DGD. Just dropped her off at a birthday party, relaxing now!
Have done a gammon in cola for dinner just got to glaze and roast it now.
OH has a cough, and is worried about giving it to me and then I won't have my op. I don't mind, but if I don't see him this weekend he's on a conference and I won't see him for three weeks, can't wait that long!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hello everybody and Happy St David's Day, I have Welsh ancestry but have no favourite over daffs or tulips! Well late entry for me on here today but I've been really busy at work again :j Although I have to say I was busy when the nice work allocator was on but when she left I did one more lot for the one I don't ike (and who patently doesn't like me) and then there was "nothing suitable availabe". What a surprise...... Anyway, quite pleased really as 3.30 finish so I've prepared tonight's dinner (sausage and mash, sprouts and carrots) for OH to put on and am now in bed. I got another reasonable night's sleep last night although yet again the panic attacks.... Now I've got problems with my Sphincter of Oddi - a consequence of having my gall bladder out in rather dramatic fashion. Trust me ..... I think it's because I'm feeling run down/tired to start with. It seems to know when I'm already down..... Still Simon Evans comedian tomorrow so he should raise a chucke. Planning nothing tonight.... Oh and I have not heard re the IVF drugs either.
I faxed my letter ten working days ago. If I was still working in a hospital I certainly wouldn't have been happy about that long to reply.... but then as I've said I've had to deal with this sec when I was an NHS sec and I am not surprised...... Well Monday "no more Mr Nice Guy" :rotfl: Hope everyone has a nice evening... I am planning zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Hi everybody,
I've had a busy day, doing my shopping early cos I got a lift, then coming home to mop floors/tidy etc because my old neighbour was coming for lunch. She'd already told me she just wanted soup as she's had a few tummy troubles,so I made a batch of butternut yesterday afternoon. She really enjoyed it,but refused the cheesecake after,so I put it back in the fridge, nearly killed me:rotfl:
We talked all afternoon till her husband picked her up at 4 ish
so a lovely afternoon.I've got a casserole in the sc,but forgot to switch it on before I went shopping and it needs a bit longer so DH is treating me to cheapie night at our local Italian. Both sons are out for tea,and we have Dgd tomorrow night so we might as well have some time to ourselves-doesnt seem to happen very often these days.
The new turf is laid-I emptied a ton bag of soil yesterday before the men got home, then they did the other 2,and DH put the turf down before he went to work this morning-looks very green & nice compared to the dog battered grass we had before (still rather have Leo :A than a nice lawn though if I'd had the choice
)
Well better go and spruce myself up-have a good evening and hugs if you need em x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
