O/S Daily Friday 01 March This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

Morning Halight & all who cross/follow
Halight, glad to hear you slept better, I hope you feel better soon.
Hubby & I have a disjointed sleep pattern a lot of the time, last night we were both awake at 3 so we put the TV or for a while, it soon bores us back to sleep.
Hugs to Molly, LW & anyone else in need.
Outdoor lunch duty again today, brrr, it takes me the rest of the day to get warm!
Time I fed the fish, they are glaring at me.
    Have a good day everyone
    Hugs Hester

    Morning everyone

Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Halight - good to hear you slept better - I don't think we realise sometimes how rough it can make us feel if we don't sleep properly! x

Cloudy, dull, overcast and damp - think it must have rained a bit in the night.

DH up and off to work early stupid early.

Dinner last night was spag bol - DH complained when I gave him prior warning what was for dinner last night - the comment went something like "oh well, that's a bit of a let down after the lovely dinner you cooked last night!", the night before dinner was baked mushroom, prawn salad and treacle sponge and custard - nothing of any great difficulty or wow factor! He also had second helpings!! They say men will never understand women think it works both ways!

Dinner tonight is likely to be something quick with chips so either fish/ham and cheese kievs for the menfolk. I will have jacket potato and fish. Yesterday as expected was a bit of a running around day, took mum to the hospital at 9.30am visited a SM on the way back and had an argument with the supervisor when they wouldn't accept some vouchers - long story but supervisor was really stuck up and rude to me so I voted with my feet and emptied the shopping bag back out on to the checkout and told them to keep it and I would go elsewhere! I was so angry - it's not like me at all to do something like that but I was disgusted at the lack of customer service and her appalling attitude. After I'd collected mum in the afternoon, went to my local branch and spoke to supervisor there and I did the transaction absolutely fine, no probs!

As had such a running around day yesterday - will endeavour to get as much done today as possible. Have done an online shop for delivery between 4-6pm - so have bought myself some time but have a few jobs to do - so will crack on and do the best I can. DH at his course again all day tomorrow so will be able to utilise tomorrow too, will more than likely spend part of the day cooking/baking so I'm ready for next week as have some extra things at night so will be busier than usual.

Have a great Friday everyone x

    May pop back later.

    Keep safe and well x

Morning all, dull here, but not raining. Could not make myself get out of bed this morning after a slightly insomniac night. Too much caffeine and worry about son's neighbour were to blame. Neighbour has started peering through the fence into the staff sleep-in room and was found peering in through the lounge window too.
Good time with son yesterday and he is pretty unaware of these latest developments with the neighbour.
Diet going very badly..........inability to sleep and stress led to the comsumption of 2 HUGE peanut butter sandwiches at 1am. Also struggling to find the motivation to go to the gym. Maybe it being the start of a new month will get my head in gear, but I doubt it! Just love my food too much.
Feeling a bit flat today, so need to keep busy. Have to go to office to pick up some work, do a supermarket run and then get stuck into said work. OH arrives tonight.
    Hugs all.

    Morning all,
1 wash load whirring away and bm on. Managed to get DDs ironing done y/day and dropped off. DGD3 is covered in Chickenpox spots making her grumpy all day, she's only 16mths and she doesn't understand why she shouldn't scratch. I spent ages covering her in Calamine lotion.
DGD2 aged 3 is slowly on the mend, her temp hit 40.2 on wednesday but is now down to a managable 37.4.
DD has just phoned to ask if I can have her for the day and could I get some shoping before I pick her up. Another busy day ahead.

I'll make 2 chicken and leek pies for dinner later and take 1 to DD to save her cooking as she's been up a lot during the night.

Right then, best I get my running shoes on !
Hope you all have a good day.
