How adorable standing in a flower pot! Oh she's lovely, a tabby exactly like my little one!
Thank you. She loved her flower pots, she spent most of the summer either curled up in them or watching the world go by. My OH grew some grass in one of them to make it more comfy for her!

I think this is my favourite photo of her though. She looks so snug and content, it's how I want to remember her

Oh Snuggles what beautiful photos! I would frame one.
My OH got little cat carvings to put their collars on when we lost our two, could you do a similar thing?

Thank you. We will definitely be getting some framed. We were besotted with her and took lots of photos, which I'm very glad of now.heartbreak_star wrote: »My OH got little cat carvings to put their collars on when we lost our two, could you do a similar thing?

Maisie didn't wear a collar, but that is such a lovely idea.0 -
Well after another sleepless night I did speak to the vet again this morning, and it has given me some comfort. I also packed all her things away today, which was very hard, but I think it helped in accepting that she has gone. Although the sadness remains, as I'm sure it will for a long time to come, the awful turmoil I was feeling seems to have subsided.
Thank you so much for all the kind comments, it really has helped being able to express my thoughts amongst people who truly understand what the loss of a beloved pet means. Thank you x0 -

You have my sympathies.
Although it doesn't feel like it at the moment, it will get easier with time.
Try to think of the good times rather than the bad, and try to take some comfort in the fact that she lived a happy, if short life and you did your best for her.

What a gorgeous girl, she looks just like mine and sounds like she was very similar in her nature.
When my other cat died, we had a picture of her made into a mouse mat, as she really used to like lying by the computer.0 -

I am sorry for your loss. I know that vets go thru the risks when we sign the consent form, but we never think it will be our beloved pet that will be that one in a million to be ill after surgery.
Aww Snuggles so sorry for your loss, it is heartbreaking. Totatlly agree with Lynn's post above. I remember when I took my Yorkie to have most of his teeth extracted (around 8 year ago) I cried constantly from dropping him off at the vet as I was so terrified of losing him through the anesthetic. Every time the phone rang I was scared to answer in case it was bad news.
He had to be put to sleep two year ago this coming May, it was the most difficult and heartbreaking decision I have ever had to make. I still cry over him but with the help of two new dogs (after losing two within weeks of each other) I have got through the worst. I knew when I was taking my dog to the vet that he wasn't coming home but it didn't make it any easier. I know your pet passed away in different circumstances but all I can say is nothing can prepare you for it. So sorry you are going through this.
RIP Maisie xA home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0
