    I didn't like the Extraordinary Oil at all! First time i have been let down by a hair oil!

    So glad its not just me! There were all these amazing reviews even for fine hair like mine and then I was like.... Oh :( Fingers crossed the Percy & Reed version works for me, again rave reviews.

    We were in there yesterday and I did not resist the half price Wilkinson Sword razors. Not going to count these as an IN though I don't think as I don't stockpile these. In fact I'm quite mean when it comes to razor blades as I always try and hold our for a really good offer then manage to miss it. Anybody know of any good cheap stockists?

    I opened the L'Occitane date hand cream last night and remember somebody posting that they didn't like the fragrance. I agree with you whoever you are. It smells like marzipan. In MSE fashion though I'll carry on with it. Can't bear to chuck out L'Occitane.

    Saw in Sainsbury's yesterday (went in for the cat design Lulu Guinness bag which wasn't in) that another mag is offering freebie Balance Me handcreams this month as well. Was good and didn't buy this either.

    I use WS and get them from Home Bargains as they seem to be the cheapest - not sure which one you use but I think they have a few different types. I think we were all in Tesco yesterday :rotfl: I saw the Balance Me hand cream too and was tempted as I've loved most of their products I've tried but I wouldn't have read the magazine it was with - Good Housekeeping I think? So I stuck with Glamour

    UU is a face scrub, one for blackheads WMBA and a radox hand wash wBA and imperial leather shower gel WBA as I love it and last ages. Only buy it on deal tho....

    Gielly Green Classic Shampoo, 50ml - WNBA, did not like this at all! Nice and fresh smelling but could hardly get a lather at all!
    Gielly Green Classic Conditoner, 50ml - WNBA, just didn't feel it did anything to warrant the price
    Elemis Fresh Skin SuperBoost Moisturising Serum, 30ml - WNBA, it was ok but i have tried other serums which feel as if they are working better!

    That was me! I'm glad I hadn't actually paid for it!

    Have a couple more UU to report;

    16. Lush Ocean Salt scrub - WNBA, It's just a little too rough for me.
    17. Avene Cleanance Lotion - WBA, it's my usual day time moisturiser but I have replaced it with the LRP Effaclar Mat
    18. Mitchum Deo Stick - WNBA, it left white marks on all my clothes no matter how little I used!
    19. L'Oreal Superliner - I've had it open for about 2 years and it was starting to dry up!

    And I have been naughty and have some IN's;

    MUA Volume Mascara - because I needed a new mascara and this intrigued me as it looks a bit like the max factor false lash effect and it's only £3!

    L'Oreal Superliner - Needed a new liquid liner so I got the superfine one, tried it last night and I'm impressed.

    L'Oreal Caresse lipstick in Sweet Berry - The first non necessary make up purchase for 15 months!

    Also bought a new jacket, dress and bag for an interview I have tomorrow. No more spending for the rest of the month!
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £

    I've a couple of UU:

    Tesco Skin Wisdom Vitamin C Revitalising Moisturiser - WNBA - whether or not I'd exfoliated first, this did that horrible skin flaking thing IYKWIM, v annoying when trying to put foundation on afterwards

    VO5 Gloss Me Smoothly Conditioner - WBA - Great results at a great price and regularly on offer to boot - will be buying again in the near future

    Also, Schwartzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Reflex Shine Care - WNBA - this has been knocking around for a scary number of years - not entirely sure what it was meant to achieve but I used to use it as sort of a finishing cream, a few drops just to smooth down flyaway hairs as didn't really see any benefit on using it on wet hair before blow drying which I think was more what it was designed for. Probably no longer available in any case!

    Need a little vent ladies if I may, I'm absolutely :mad::mad::mad: with OH this morning, who's basically made himself scarce as he knows some of my family are visiting today which I think is the height of rudeness/ignorance! Its not that he doesn't get on with them/like them - its just he's not great at the whole social niceties type of thing which I think we probably all tolerate to a certain degree in certain situations/with certain people. V annoyed as its his Dad's birthday soon and there's a big party where I'll be expected to meet countless relatives and friends I never have before, which could be a daunting experience - was a bit naughty and told him I wasn't going as he couldn't extend my family the same courtesy! He really couldn't understand why I was so cross. Is it just me??!!

    Back OT, we have a new retail park opening next weekend, literally right on my doorstep, there is a big Tesco, M & S and Boots, not to mention a Poundland :eek::eek::eek:

    Hi, I'd love to join. I've been lurking for a while but have decided to take the plunge. Will have to sort through all my drawers and boxes for a full list. Had many IN's from my mum who is such a toiletry hoarder, trying to help her out is my excuse. Happy March to all

    Welcome Gemguin! Looking forward to reading the list! Hopefully you can help your Mum too. My Mum was the reverse - one pot of Nivea, one bottle of Chanel No. 5 and the same lipstick all her adult life! She was born 1924 though, so was a different generation.
    I like the sound of this, are they local groups, or a nationwide thing? I'd like this, as I keep getting smellies I can't use as birthday and christmas presents. I don't know how to pm though...
    Mini, it's nationwide. If you click on someone's name in a post you will see the option 'Send a private message to'. The message system info is at the top of the page.

    Echoing Good Luck for Interview wishes for Ruby Eskimo.
    My DSon IL was the same as your DH, Ems, and is probably a similar age, perhaps a bit older now. He is better now, but when my sister visited him on the same day as a TV football match some 10 years ago, the football match in the pub won. Bear in mind my sister lives 300 miles away and visits about once a decade.

    I am sooo jealous of the shops, Ems,. Having them handy will make life much easier for you.

    A Poundland! They have got so much better at giving brand name bargains since the start of the recession.
    All neighbouring towns have far better shopping than us - given our size. (pop 40 000, inc. satellite villages). Our town centre was promised a revamp over 20 years ago and it got going 18 months ago.
    I am "lucky" in that my mobility problems mean I get free or discounted travel, but the same problems mean I can only visit a few shops on each trip, or risk exhausting myself for the rest of the day.

    A TA.. :mad:.
    :mad: at the carpness of the product, that is.
    It was an unloved gift to a friend who passed it on. 'Alex by Alex Curran' body lotion, 150ml.

    Dodgy smell, refused to rub in for ages and left me feeling sticky. Straight into the bin after application number 1.
    I doubt if it had gone off, it hadn't split or anything.

    I think it was just a rubbish, cheaply produced product dolled up as something expensive and luxury, with the addition of a WAG's name.

    I should have showered again to wash the sodding stuff off, but I can't do quick moves any more, it would have taken ages. Will be showering in the morning though and grabbing the Aveeno this time. :)

    afternoon ladies

    welcome to all our lovely newbies :hello:- you've landed in one of the friendliest threads on MSE

    I have a couple of uu's - Elnett hairspray - I don't wear hairspray very often but when I do I find that this one gives great hold and doesn't leave my hair with that awful crispy texture that some do, just a pity it's so expensive!

    Boots extracts cocoa butter, this is gorgeous, the scent is very comforting and a few people (including the usually oblivious OH) have commented on the aroma. As a body butter it does an excellent job, wba - it's like a hug in a tub

    happy pampering, xo
