I'm in again, though I have to do another stock take. My list seems to be shrinking but I can't see the drawer getting any emptier:eek:

I'm sure it is because the bottles in it are bigger than before ....or the draw is shrinking ;)

Am heading into town today....will be difficult not to buy toiletries. I have a habit of needing to stock up on things if needed or not!

I've been lurking for a while now, but I'm thinking I might become a bit more active in this challenge. I've had a recent splurge of toiletries, despite 'banning' myself until March. Mostly it's because I've switched to sulfate free, but that has revved up the price of everything I've bought.

I know what I have, and I know that I don't need anything for a few months at least, so I thought that perhaps thinking of myself as being in a challenge would help change my attitude.

Hello Mini and welcome! I just discovered the 'Need not Want' thread thanks to you and posted there.
I mentioned my Andrew Collinge Poundland purchases - these are sulphate/sulfate free. As I said, better to get them now, rather than get something meh later in the year (as I refuse to pay a fiver for anything being washed off my head).

Thanks McCulloch! That's really handy to know, and I'd be quite tempted to stock up before they run out, although I definitely don't NEED more right now, and I'm trying to be very good at the old need not want this month. But glad to have a new recruit :T

I'm exactly the same though, I hate to spend more than £1-2 on anything, which is why I have a big box full of cheap products I never use. I had some B00ts 25% off vouchers for shower gel and shampoo, so got their £4.20 stuff for £3.15, and could just about live with that. D0ve soap is also a great, sulfate free product that costs about 60p a bar, but I do sometimes miss the convenience of shower gel and a loofah.

I have no idea what to do with the remaining 3x1/3 bottles of shampoo I have just now with sulfates in them...

Hi everyone! Thanks for starting off the new thread Absinthe!

I already have 1 UU to report!

Sally Hansen Nail Varnish Remover - WBA, loved this stuff, it really got rid of everything quickly and easily. Will be re-purchasing today.

    And 3 TA's;

3 mascaras that have dried up and have been open slightly longer than I'm happy with - Benefit bad girl (WNBA, the brush is too big!), L'Oreal Voluminous (WNBA, the recent ones I've had have flaked like no one's business!) and L'Oreal Telescopic false lash effect (WBA, quite impressed with the look this gave me).

Hi was just wondering what the Facebook group for this? Sounds like it could be fun :)

    Xxx

Hammyham - the facebook group is a swap group for us to basically swap bits and bobs that we dont want any more - people list or photograph what they have, and put it up - then other people say what they have and if it fits peoples wants, its swapped :D

If you want to join, message me on here with your facebook profile link and I'll add you (has to be as a friend first, its a private group) - or message tokkiandoliver on here and im sure she will do the same!!

Shes also started a swap group for other stuff as well if anyone wants to join that....

    welcome newbies :T

  • Have managed to only buy mouthwash x 2 whilst running the gauntlet shopping today.

However nails inc order arrived yesterday - I took advantage of the 7 for £18 deal and bought 'special effects' and 'glossy' which are still to follow. I also purchased 'the greige' collection as I dont have many nudes and am enjoying experimenting with all the wonderful special effects top coats which can look better on a plain base. I also got a 3 pack of mini polishes as a free gift. So 14 ins so far and 7 to follows. Think its obvious I am loving nail varnish at the moment!

I have ordered a replacement macadamia hair masque from beauty bay whilst it was on offer and Opi polka.com slipped into my basket (yes another polish).

And have placed a lush order as our stock was getting low and I dont think we will have time this month for the 70 miles round to restock.

So not a great start am afraid - on a positive note I did manage to get through some relics last month and will concentrate on using up some more this month. Im trying the use 1 old/1new approach so it gets used up but I dont get bored.

Another 7 items sold on ebay.

Nearly forgot TA NO7 instant radiance concealer this one had gone off I think as it had a funny smell. Seemed to last for an eternity so WMBA.

I have ins to report these were planned.

    2 enchanted bath ballisitcs
    3 bright side bubble bars

That is all I want from Lush and I have plenty to last me probably for the next year.

UU- TBS ginger shampoo. WBA love this shampoo, I do have another 4 bottles as I stocked up in January with one of the offers. It is the only shampoo that stops my scalp itching.

UU- twilight shower gel (500g) WBA my favourite shower gel this one I have had years but I did restock at Christmas as it was released again (6X 500g) so I will not run out.

Mini, you could CS the bottles if they aren't open - or is there a local collection for those struggling? A friend who is long-term unemployed was given toiletries by a local church, she was really grateful. Good stuff too, which gave her such a boost.

I got into and out of Wilko's without any toiletries related purchases (or cleaning gear) and they have some super offers on both. Heron (the Northern discount freezer shop that is incredible) had some nice looking handwash, but I don't need any...

Pay just lost a whole post!

    Ins...but they are planned:

Two pack of baby wipes from primark
Maxfactor miracle touch liquid illusion foundation my HG
Tampons - but don't really count them.

The Maxfactor is on three for two but the pennies that would have paid for the second one went on shoes :o

Hi, I'd love to join. I've been lurking for a while but have decided to take the plunge. Will have to sort through all my drawers and boxes for a full list. Had many IN's from my mum who is such a toiletry hoarder, trying to help her out is my excuse. Happy March to all
