There's plenty of opportunity if one looks. Far easier to be well informed than ever before.

Far more opportunity to be ill-informed as well

Sometimes, it's the way things are said. If you'd just said "centrica does this, this and this" the tone wouldn't have been the same. Hence that's where I'm coming from.

That's as much as I'll say on the matter. Hopefully it adds some clarity.

And yet earlier in the thread you were proclaiming you were very careful to not disclose your personal opinion. Can you now see that in fact your post did disclose your personal opinion, through its tone if not by an explicit declaration?

    It'll never happen.

Just as it won't be all that's said on the matter.

No it wasn't, I got a PM too.

Apparently I'm upset because I got my maths wrong and he pointed it out a while back.

    (((((hug)))))

    Now you're all better.

I think we would all be better not posting on GD's "personal" threads.

He takes any/all disagreement very seriously.

    PS. I didn't get a PM. I'm mortified. GD doesn't like me

    Welcome to my world.

You're a top man Genarali with the patience of a saint.
  • Looks like we're all getting a bit fed up of Devon treating this as his private board. It'd do him and us a lot of good if he just had a little break from MSE.

I think Graham and the MD of Centrica might both be nursing headaches today.

    Well that's really not fair.

I'd paste the PM up, as it didn't say that at all, but no one would believe what was pasted anyway. I stated I believe theres been an issue since the maths thing.

I thought the PM would be the best way to go as I've seen you state before now if people have issues, keep it to PM rather than on board. I didn't thik it would be like you to then bring one single sentence of that PM to the board to make it sound like something utterly different.

I'm outdone here. That I will admit. Well done Generali. Obviously you are wanting to carry this on.

This is what was said about the maths thing:
I do respect your posts, and yourself. I don't really care about Harry, Chucky, Pricklepants making anything into something, but I'm not too sure what I have done to upset you. All I can see is that since the maths thing, you've taken quite a dislike and will publically aim to humiliate me, which you can do very well.

I am writing this PM as I DO respect you and I'm asking if theres an issue, it's sorted in PM, or, if that's not achieveable, it's left.
Hardly what you are portraying. I did ask that if it can't be sorted in PM it's just left. I had, quite clearly, left it after that. Can't win when I'm told not to make threads about me, only to find the person lording it over me continues the thread about me by portraying stuff I never said.As I stated in the PM, you publically humiliate me quite well, and aim to do so. You then did exactly that by stating I sent a PM and removing all context. My point is proven.

    No better than Harry.

There's a wider availability of data and it's easier to access than ever before which is great for people who want to look for it.

Do you think people who have always relied on traditional media (TV/ newspapers) are better informed than 10 years ago? You won't hear many people talking today about the Centrica final release document but plenty will have an opinion based on the musings of a commentator who hasn't read the source data either.

The vast majority don't have the time or inclination to investigate every item of news so rely on the media - they're being let down by poor journalism and editorials dressed as news.

Would you have sent a PM if you hadn't been drinking?
