Morning all! Hope all are well, we have some lovely sunshine here just at the moment, but I doubt it will last on current form. I have a fun-filled day ahead of me, batch cooking for Britain and tackling the European laundry mountain. Oh joy!
A big fat thank you to Morgy9, who sent me a lovely update on what you've all been up to while I've been away.
My local T had very big boxes of Thornton's Continental chocolates yesterday, reduced from £16 to £4 post Mother's Day, when I went on a (not) butter quest. I regret to say a couple found their way into my trolley, but a very nice present to take if you are invited out somewhere ( not obviously MD fare).
Have a good day all!Hope is not a strategy.0 -
We go along to Porthmadog once in a while but the weather isn't so good just now. Lovely big 2 mile long beach up the road from there too called Black Rock Sands.
Yes black rock sands beach is great, we spend many times on here, the kids love it.That's fine lol. I'm in Wrexham about 12 miles from Chester in case you didn't know.:)
Never been to Wrexham, is it good for shopping??? We have said we must stop by, but never seem to.0 -

Restless night here. My DS2 woke me up at 3.15 AM to tell me his 3ds wasn't working  He hasn't slept most of the night, and is up and atom this morning. I am tired!
If the yogs are still working, I think I'd get some more. They went down rather well here and the kids have made a dent in them already

Good morning everyone (shrugs shly) first time on here, usually post on Grabbit. Hope the sun is shining where you are.
I rang V*king this morning about the Nectar points, the chap says that they can take up to 28 days from the date of order and if they're not on by then, to ring back and they will get them added. Don't know if this will work, but I thought it might be helpful to anyone who's still waiting. Some days you're the statue, some days you're the pigeon.0 -
That womble just reminded me, when I went to Tesco yesterday, I bought a Value Iceberg lettuce at 89p and it was bigger and looked fresher than the £1 iceberg lettuce.
My point is that personally I buy whichever of the 2 looks best(sometimes the Value Iceberg is smaller).
But I wonder how many people just buy the £1 Iceberg without even considering the cheaper option next door?"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I got a joint of beef yesterday - marked at £10 per kg instead of £5.
Same as the ones marked 1/2 price BUT the trout told me someone must have moved it so I could choose another or have a refund. As hubby had to go back to car as feeling ill & was more worried about him than having a DTD I reluctantly got a refund - the others didn't look like they had nice marbleing.Looked on tesco.com and there are NO beef joints at £10kg so was a definite misprice.
I intend ringing today - is it 0800 505 555?
Can anyone tell me what's the normal outcome? DTD or DTD and gift voucher because of inconvenience including the fact I have to go elsewhere to get Beef and we live in the sticks. Clubcard vouchers??
Have no idea what to expect as haven't accepted a refund before.
Should I add when on phone that I thought they gave DTD because they didn't want peeps to go to Trading Standards with a possible £2000+ fine.
I did get a 2xlamb DTD a couple of weeks back - presumably they'll see this so does this make a difference?
Well I just phoned up and got NOTHING! Woman said that not everything in store was online and if it didn't have the half price sticker, even because it had a SEL on the front of £5 a kg it wasn't in the offer, nothing they could do, Hmmmm!
Should I try again???0 -

I love black rock sands. From age 8 onwards, my parent's taught me to drive up there when we visited on holiday each year0
