Quite laughable you talking about respect after your reply to my post!

I think you should apologise to the poster and also to the forum for your abusive comments.

Shocking and unnecessary abuse, people should report this kind of behaviour.

The inconsistency of moderation on this board astonishes me. You get nollag and HSW getting banned for polite banter and yet this obvious abuse is acceptable. Perhaps you have to be a 'bear' in order to say whatever you like on here?

I am personally also offended that my Bozo thread has been derailed by all this nonsense.
  • The inconsistency of moderation on this board astonishes me.

Moderators are not going to read each and every thread, but simply react to forum users reporting posts.
People like you and me with a busy working life have no time to report each and every abusive post.
People like devon, shorty and prof, the fulltime 24/7/365 forum professionals, have plenty spare time between making ludicrous posts and orchestrating their sockies and therefore tend to report more often.

I have to say it was one of your better threads. Not the usual tired boomer bashing, but a tale of an enterprising young man seeking and finding success.

    Keep it up.

Not surprising, your PC button must be broken again;)

I tried to get a bit of boomer bashing in one of the subsequent replies, though I admit it wasnt easy with this story.

Youngun's round here won't even walk two miles to a job..."it's too far"..."is there a bus?"..."I can't start early as there are no buses..."..."I can't finish late as there are no buses"

I might be exaggerating the 2 miles but it's certainly no more than 3 miles....

And if a job is 5 miles away and off a bus route then they insist that a car is the only way to get to/from this job..and as it's minimum wage they'll refuse it...and the jobcentre will back them up with a better off calculation proving they can't do it as they'll be worse off than staying on JSA...even though all they had to do is buy a bicycle and a good lock and ride to/from work. Even a motorised scooter hardly costs anything but that's too much.

Good on the guy for walking 10 miles I congratulate him. He may not be prepared but at least he's willing to walk.

Got to say this: Say what you like, he may not appear to be the sharpest knife on the box, but he was looking for a job-and he got one. Simple as that. Good luck to him.
