Morning all,
Another rubbish night's sleep, so a tad wooly headed today. Need to do the ironing, a am running out of clothes, and am on airport duty tomorrow as OH's cousin is coming to Glasgow for a few days and MIL gets lost driving out of the airport! Think I have also been volunteered to take her shopping, and we will all go out for a meal or something whilst she is here, time to get DDs purse ransacked for the vouchers she collects!
DD at boyfriends for dinner tonight and DS working, so leftover stew from yesterday for dinner.
The sun is trying to peek out, although it looks cold out, think I will get some fresh air before I chain myself to mount ironmore
Tina, enjoy your time with your son!
Have a good day al!RIP Iain

Our Girls have been OK up till now. We do have some treatment for just In case. They do come home with a letter every few weeks ways that there's a case In there class, We do get more letters than others as the girls are not in the same class, they seem to take It in turns to bring a letter back.
But to me, It dose seem rife In the schools at the moment.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

We have a wee dilemma. Mr LW's DSis1 sadly passed away just over 2 years ago. Last November, Mr LW received some money, just a tiny amount, that was his mum's estate's share of a legacy from a distant cousin who died in the early 90s (one of these "lost" legacy jobbies). He divided it 3 ways, kept a third, sent a third to his DSis2, who immediately cashed the cheque and wrote and thanked him, and the last third he sent to DSis1's bereaved OH. The OH still hasn't cashed the cheque, we've heard nothing from him, we didn't even get a Yule card from him this year (we did the previous year) and we're concerned for him. We don't have an email addy or phone number, and don't quite know what to do now. He's an adult, and if he chooses to walk away, he's perfectly entitled to do so, but if something's happened to him.... well, you can see where I'm taking this.:( He and DSis1 lived quite a long way from us, so it's not like we can just pop over and see if he's a) still living there and b) OK. I've suggested maybe Mr LW should drop DSis2 a line and ask if she knows anything (again, we have no email addy for her either) but he doesn't seem too keen to do that, as relations between him and DSis2 are cool at best, because she dislikes me, even though she's never met me. The only other thing I could think of is to see if the chap is on LinkedIn, which is the only social network thingy Mr LW is on (I'm not on any at all); but that' be a bit hit-and-miss, I guess.
Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I read that too halight and I have not slept a full unbroken eight hours in the last five years
As most of you know by now I am waiting for both of my knees to be replaced and the pain some days is so bad that it is difficult to do anything, but it hurts if I stand for long or sit for long, so I am between the devil and the deep blue sea on that oneSo I know how you feel.
Horrid weather, grey, cold and wet here.
I have put some washing on because I can do without it building up, it will just have to go on the airers, I will put it through a double spin to dry it off quicker.
Need to get some compost and some more top soil this week, I really need to get my seeds started. The forecast is that it will stay cold until the end of March though .
nlj is this the same neighbour who complained about DS before? What an intolerant s.o.d.
Oh well I had better get a wriggle on and prepare dinner BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Is there an old style FB page?
This is my favourite section of the forum - friendly and interesting. I learn to much reading here - like in the thread about eating meat in the past - all those experiences being shared!0 -

No we don't have our own page. but Some of us are friends on Facebook. but not everyone. Some people on here are not even on Facebook.
Might be something we could look into setting up. If there were enough people Interested ?:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0
