Ending the month on and egg-srtra :icotbaskeNSD #17 which is my highest total for a while...although it seems that some of my spendies have been BIG
Managed to get out in the garden today and mow the lawn for the first time this year, unfortunately it seems that much of it has become moss thanks to the damp weather so need to address that.
Also found that some of the wood on the raised beds (one of which has a pond) is really rotten, including one bed were I replaced most of the logging only 2yrs ago. So, left with the decision of patching, knowing that it will deteriorate further, or bite the bullet and look to replace the wood - which should be interesting as it will need to slot into where the existing wood is :wall: Did find a great site with something called Wood Blocx that look amazing, but I think are going to be over our budget (of currently zero :rotfl:) and are going to end up causing us more work that planned. However have found this site http://www.harrodhorticultural.com/raised-beds-and-planters-tcid1.html which seem more within (yet to be agreed) budget and more akin to fitting where we need to replace the beds. Only thing is, because we have structures there already (mainly the pond) we'll have to build and secure the corners and then slot them into place (thankfully the pond bit is an L shape IYKWIM) but based on prev experience this could be 'interesting' (aka involve a lot of bad words). I'd love to fit some sunken LED lights into one of the beds too...but think I might shelve that idea for the sake of sanity / safety :rotfl:
Not quite decided target for April...how is it 1st already tomorrow?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
