Bath or Shower

Both.
Am we do not have great one of either, the shower is a dribble, and the bath is insufficient.
We are a mixture in this house, one of us only showers, the other two like both. The reason I would never be without a bath even if I preferred showers would be the number of operations for health problems and sporting injustices that make bathing the easier/better option. And vice versa really. Baths significantly help some of the I pacts of a long term health condition I have, and more recently some of the side effects of a medication I am on, and I have had to bath with bandaged limbs hanging out of the side of the bath a number of times.0 -
I would be lost without my bath. I have a bath every day it's my escape (though the cats still think they have the right to just walk in!).
I spend so much time in the bath OH has actually gotten concerned I've drowned.
I hardly ever have showers I hate them. Except when I visit my friend in Canada his shower is super powerful and I love it lol
My cats sit on my belly while I bathe. It's quite cute, but also somewhat restricting!0 -

Great choice of words.
I quite agree, I shower 99% of the time, but sometimes when I take a knock at footy, or have had a hard fall climbing, I wouldn't be without a soak in the bath....0 -
Although I have a power shower over a P shaped bath, I rarely use it, as I much prefer having a bath. The only time I love a shower is when I'm abroad in the summer in a hot country, and it's such a good way to wash off all that suntan lotion! Lack of a bath would be a deal breaker for me.0

I have a p shaped bath. I love baths but hubby and son only shower. When we did the bathroom we did consider taking out the bath and having a proper shower cubicle but an estate agent warned us not to if i ever intended to sell.
Only one loo here too (and its a downstairs bathroom/toilet too which would put some people off). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I wouldn't consider buying a house with no bath. I'd get a shower over a bath then you are not ruling out sellling to a whole lot of people.
Have to agree with this. I probably only have a bath about 4 times a year but I like to have the option! I think it would put a lot of people off.
I'd go with some of the great suggestions for showers over baths you've had on here. In fact, I want a new bathroom after this thread!0 -
If you do opt for a shower, at least put in a decent sized one not one of those 3' x 3' jobs thay many people have.0

We're lucky in that we have a separate walk in shower which we use daily. We do have a bath which the grandkids like . I also think people like a house with a bath in it. There are some lovely modern baths in the showrooms and I bet you can find one suitable , like the P shaped ones , for a shower over it . Have fun looking and let us know what you decide .0

Had just this discussion with OH when we were planning the updates to our bathroom. His argument was that as I was the only one in the house (of 4) who used the bath regularly then we should rip it out and have a big walk-in shower instead. When my emotional argument (that its the only me-time I get, it helps me wind down enough to sleep, etc) failed I got him with the financial one when he couldn't answer with a reason why he would choose to deliberately devalue our house that way (he watches enough property development programs to get my meaning). The work hasn't been done yet but we have our eyes on a p-shaped bath£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
