I did kitchen cupboard painting both for my friends and also on my kitchen too.

I was happy and they were too. Its easier, cheaper and interesting. By that way you can change your kitchen every 4-5 years ( if you keep them safe enough) .

Maybe after 10 years you need to replace or reface the cabinets , but until that time you can just paint it .

Go ahead, but becareful about preparation process, which is really too important.
