I was looking at kitchen cupboard paint in Focus today.
Crown is £10.99 and Focus own is £8.99, there are loads of colours to choose from.
See them both here http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-locayta&template=wz_locayta&collate=cat&collate=ivtype&collate=brand&collate=price&collate=pdxttype&collate=pdxtcolour&collate=pdxtfinish&collate=pdxtpower&collate=pdxtspeed&collate=pdxtsuite&collate=pdxtvoltage&collate=pdxtsize&termtextkeywordsearch=cupboard%20paint&typekeywordsearch=keyword&fieldinvt=type&termtextinvt=invt&typeinvt=exact&fieldcat=cat&termtextcat=0401&typecat=exact&termorder=keywordsearch%3Ainvt%3Acat&pagenum=1&perpage=9&threshold=0&spellcorrect=1&datasource=focusen&setpagenum=1&termtextivtype=kitchenbroompaint&typeivtype=exact&fieldivtype=ivtype

Just painted mine with Crown Jersey Cream from Focus - 2 x coats - beautiful.
Didn't risk using Focus own paint.0 -
Saw some Plastikote Kitchen Cupboard spray paint in my local Poundland about a week ago. Would've got some but they only had a mint green colour.
You can buy it online at about £8 a can I think, has anyone tried it?0 -

I have stumbled onto this post after googling spraying kitchen fronts.
I was also thinking of spray car paint - did you end up trying this maxima?
Thanks :j0 -
To do my work surface cheap I used extra wide sticky back plastic or fablon from e-bay, then use glass savers on top for hot saucepans etc been alright for a few months now, just want to paint my cupboard doors now.:)0

I used international white kitchen cupboard paint....worked really well at the price! I got it from a tesco stall in Bristol!
Prep was key and I still had a few marks on it after but certainly looked a lot better than before.0 -
I cannot believe how people have to go along with fashion and IMO ruin a nice wood kitchen. I must admit that I like the natural wood look and would never go along and do something just because other people are doing it. It reminds me of sheep. lol0

You like a natural wood look in your kitchen - clearly that's your choice and taste, but why accuse people of being sheep or slaves to fashion because they don't? Personally, I hate wood kitchens, always have done.0 -

And I don't get why people would ruin a perfectly nice kitchen with wooden doorsEach to their own!

I wanted to replace my shabby work tops, but I turned them over instead and stained them with a walnut colour, then I varnished with a clear colour and it looks as good as new! My kitchen units I sanded and painted it in white gloss( £4.00 from asda) then again used a couple of coats clear gloss varnish to give it a shine!(99p store) :T0
