Hi all,
I've read through today's posts but can't remember any of them - obviously dementia setting in.
I do remember the husband who thinks it's his right to do nothing but be waited on all day and then dares to complain about the food. In my house it would be the last meal he had cooked for him until he grew up and pulled himself together.
I've had a fun day - it's our day off and started well as we had our hair cut. One of the Rev's parishoners does it and it's done beautifully, £10 for a cut and blow dry, superb!
Then we got home to a message that one of our elderly church people had been taken into hospital so the Rev dons her collar and disappears to see him.
This afternoon we went to a holiday place where they have refurbished the self-catering chalets and had lots of crockery and cutlery to be given to a good cause. when the manager brought out the crockery we collapsed in giggles. It was exactly the same as the old church crockery that we've been trying to get rid of for ages and no-one wants. We advised a good skip and came away with a box of cutlery.
We did have a good breakfast this morning, just as well as I think I can remember a quick sandwich at lunch time and goodness knows what and when we'll be eating again. Herself has just been summoned to a Boy's Brigade Quiz evening.

Evening chums and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling low and blue today Its a real damp miserable Monday today ,blooming cold wind and dark and 'orrible outside.Roll on the spring with a bit of bright sunshine to cheer us all up.
Well yesterday was DGS Jacks 13th birthday and he had a lovely day and we all spoiled him to bits bless him.He is such a cheery little chap and even his brothers call him Gentle Jack and he is so easy going. We went out to a local Beefeater for his birthday meal which was a great treat for him and the boys all behaved beautifully and everyone ate far too much. The only thing not available on the menu were beefburgers ,suprise, suprise
:) but chicken made a great substitute for me at least (I'm not a lover of burgers anyhow)
I have just started my book club book about Barack Obama's life and I must get it read by next Monday when I go again.

hilstep *hugs* hope you're ok x
Sent OH to play darts, he said he wouldn't go out as he didn't know what I'd be like - I'd rather a normal Monday - don't like being fussed, especially by him as he never does it! He was back at work today and his boss has been moved to a different area, obviously not just us who's upset with him lol, karma?0
