O/S Daily Monday 25th February

O/S Daily Monday 25th February This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

    Morning all:j:j

I'v only been awake for about half an hour, I had a much better sleep last night:) I still woke up in pain, Just the one knee this time My right one. Just the same as last night the pain was terrible. I'm sat here now and its still really bad. But I'm thankful of a good fun nights sleep:)

Today I need to phone the Doctor. I need more of my steroids, Will also have them put of repeat. I'm also going to ask about this knee pain the last few nights. I think it might have something to do with the steroids. Maybe they are working ageist my other tablets or something. Whatever, I will ask and I shall also be keeping an eye on that too.

I have started to eat more since iv been on the steroids and I have put weight on over the last three weeks since Iv been on them. I know this is normal, This also happens the last time that I took them.

The Twins today are bot at school. some sort of inset day. My Mum will be picking them up for the morning and to give them lunch. Then My Mums Mum will pick them up from my Mums house later this afternoon to give them there evening dinner. My Wife's Mum works at the kids school. she is a teaching assistant there, She only has the one little boy to help. But dose of cause help any other Kids in the last that needs it too, So It's a normal work day for her.
My wife is also at work today.

I shall be having a go at cleaning out the pot and pan cubed, It a bit of a mess in there. Things just seem to get shoved back in. There are also things that we no longer use in there. So I decided yesterday that it was time it got sorted.

No meal plans yet. But Dinner tonight will involve left over turkey form yesterday.

    Enjoy your day all:j:j

Glad you feeling a little better Halight - you sound like you have such a supportive family x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I woke up early too but because DH has got up and gone downstairs and I fancied a cuppa.

    Haalight

Hope the doctor can help with the pain so you can get some decent sleep.

The gas is likely to be turned off today and could be off most of the day so trying to think ahead. Lunch will be a la leftovers warmed in microwave and might cook some sausages while I can use the cooker , oven and grill.

Might use up veg in fridge to make soup in the slow cooker and make bread rolls in Remoska later.

    Hugs to all

Got some great YS bargains last night - trout fillets for 74pence for two, king prawns and duck with pancakes and sauce that should have been £7.50 reduced to £1.89. Made the duck and pancakes last night and dds ate it happily but DH hated it - had to make him a baked potato with butter to take away the taste of it.

Halight, I can remember paying £30+ for Clarks shoes for my 2 boys up until their feet stopped growing at around 14/15.....they are now 27 & 25, so the prices don't seem to have risen as much as everything else.

You're doing the right thing with them, their feet are so important. Mine are in a shocking state from wearing "inappropriate" shoes when I was a teenager :o

    Morning all,

Hope you had a good weekend. OH was in an awful mood at the weekend.:o In the twelve years we have been together we have never had an argument, only some snippy words, but he was terrible to me, and made me cry in the end.:( He did apologise later, but it wasn't nice. Turns out it wsas about his business, but it wasn;t my fault. I think it was just easy to take it out on me.:(

Also, went out and bought new net curtains, and completely measured them wrong! Bought 54 inches instead of 48, don't know what possessed me!:rotfl: Got to get more now.

Then something else went wrong, so was glad that seeing Anton & Erin at the theatre went okay!:rotfl:

Had a lovely meal at the local carvery afterwards, then OH went home. Glad to be rid of him, hope he's better this weekend.

Halight You are right about steroids, they do make you put on weight. I have found that they don't work for me now though, must be used to them.

    Molly (((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))

May be going out today with a friend, if not, fasting day for me.
