Morning all,
Hilstep, i'm sorry your husband was so mean to you. I hope he's in a better mood today.
I am ashamed to say ive only just woke up. I got up with the girls at 5am but went back to bed. Hubby kept me awake tossing and turning all night and moaning he was too hot. Now he isnt at work his sleeping pattern has all changed. He is going to bed at a stupid time and waking up not before midday. Hence he comes to bed at 3 am and starts shuffling around the bed unable to settle.
He got out of cooking yesterday as he slept most of yesterday on the sofa. By 6pm i knew the only way we were going to get a meal inside us was if i cooked it so after i cooked it i growled at him when he ate it "if you dont like it, i dont want to know".
Even then he still complained he'd got indigestion all evening because of it. I thought i'd play safe and give him fish but when he did complain, i reminded him it was him that chucked the fish in the trolley when we went shopping.
The list of what i cant 'cook' is getting longer:
Quiche
Meat (of any description)
Fish
Coleslaw
Funnily enough he can devour the bacon and egg sandwich i make for him on a morning.
I asked him to take the bin bags up last night and he made comment about the amount of dog mess that hadnt been cleaned up. I am afraid he had it with both barrells. Lazy sod, he's hardly lifted a finger in the three weeks he's been out of work. I can count the amount of coffees he's made himself in three weeks on one hand. Ive been making them for him.
Anyway, usual Monday chores. Doctor sent me a note with my repeat medication on Friday, he wants me to have a blood test to check my thyroid levels and kidney function. This i am hoping to do sometime this week.

Off to the hospital today (colposcopy - not looking forward to it!). Mum's taking me as OH wasn't allowed the time off.
Lindsay - I have to have one every 6 months so you have my sympathy. Do what I do and treat yourself to a nice coffee out with your Mum afterwards x x x
Jools - how awful for your DS's friend x x x
I've had a lovely morning painting and am just cooking DH some lunch before I go to work - he's been hard at work since 4.30am.

Jools, what tragic news.

bargainbird ((((((Hugs))))))
Jools That is just so tragic
hilly......... I would have given him hell for taking business matters out on me
Grey, cold and damp here today.
We went to TK Max in Bletchley yesterday and I picked 6 birthday presents and a wedding gift for DN in August. Spent £40 though  but I have got most of them now
Popped into Dobbies on the way home and had a look around, DH had never been there before and he noticed that some of their prices were cheaper than Poplars nursery, so he was pleasantly surprised
He enjoyed looking at the fish and reptiles that they have in there as well.
I had a letter from the diabetic eye screening people this morning and I phoned them to say that I had already been referred to an ophthalmologist because of loss of sight, so it has been postponed until after I have seen the consultant, I just have to let them know what is going on.
Just the podiatrist to hear from now.
NPM I hope that you are ok and keeping those legs crossed x
Lindsay I hope things go ok at the hospital today x
Judi Time to stop making him coffee and pandering to him, he needs a swift kick up the 'arris.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi all
Ooh - where to start; I should've opened a Word.doc and done my replies as I read, but I didn't.
Wuvvies I hope you feel a bit better today.
Hilly (((HUG))) it's easy to take it out on the person you love; I'm sure OH was really sorry afterwards, but it's not right for him to make you cry.
NPM Thanks for popping in; as you know, I know zilch about pregnancy, so will just send "all-going-smoothly-with-Asher" vibes.;)
Jools (((HUG))) OMG how awful! And you know who else I feel for? The poor train driver, who will have to live with that for the rest of his life.
Judi quit making DH's coffee, right now. He knows where the kitchen is, and how to turn on the kettle. He can make you one while he's at it.;) Same with the meals - if he doesn't like your cooking, let him do for himself.
Halight I sympathise re the knees - mine are the cause of many rude words first thing in the mornings!
For once, I have some good news - got my letter from DWP today; they've put me straight into the ESA support group.:T:T:T All we did was tell the precise truth on their form, and it would seem they've actually seen sense this time!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Jools - So sad poor lad xxx
Judi - Hugs to you lovey xx
LC - Hope appt went well xx

Thanks everyone for your support. Heard that my dad's sister my Auntie Mary died this morning. She had dementia and was in a home, but had a chest infection. She was a lovely lady, she never had children so she only has my dad, her other sister and nieces and nephews. OH and I will have to go to Welwyn Garden City for the funeral. I would hate to think that she had no one from her family there.
Dad isn't well either, he has a chest infection, so I am worried about him too. He looked and sounded awful today. Still they have him on antibiotics, so he may surprise us all and get better again. We'll have to wait and see.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon all:j:j
Well I went to the doctors this morning. I have sorted all my tablets out. All the new ones are now on repeat.
I told the doctor about the knee pain and about how bad it was, that it's been waking me up, He really is not sure what could be the cause of it could be. One the one hand he thinks it might be my brain at the root of it. But on the other hand it could be the build up of tablets in my system. Iv started on three new ones in the last month. Two of which I have never had in the past. Plus I have come off one tablet that Iv been on for a good few years.
So the plan is that for me to keep an eye on it. If it gets any worse then I'm too go back sooner. If it dose not sort its self out in a couple of weeks then I'm to go back.
I do think its something more than just knee pain, For one Iv done nothing to hurt my knees. But I have felt strange all day today. I can not put my finger on it. But I just don't feel right. Still we will see how it goes.
For dinner tonight we will be having left over turkey, slow cooked in tinned Toms with mixed veg,Onion and Garlic. We shall being having Jacket spuds with this.
Its been chilly here all day long with plenty of cloud about. I have been thinking that we might have a bit of snow or rain at times But apart from a few drops early this morning it has stayed dry.
Well I hope that everyone's having at best a great day and at worse as Good day.
Despite all the troubles of the world and all the troubles that life brings.
Enjoy your evening everyone :j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Evening All
Welcome newbies :hello:
Have not been on for a while as life has just got in the way, could not tell you what we have been doing, but the time just flies, and when it is nice prefer to be outside, and then cannot be on line as cannot read the screen in the sun.
Have just read back to Friday as not even managed to read for a few days.
Had 4 nights out in a row Tues-Thurs last week, and already two meals out organised for this week, and that could be three too. Making the most of it as we set off back a week on Thursday. The north/north east winds have brought the temperatures down here around 12-1C max, but when the sun is out and behind our wall it is still very pleasant and warm:D. Today it has been the birthday of our Norwegian next door neighbour, so we have just had Cava, strawberries and cake in the sun with them and another neighbour.:beer: Too full to think of tea yet. Skye has also been with us, and had been very good, now all the adjacent houses appear to have puppy/dog treats for her. She is much loved all round, and loves all of them in return too.
I have to admit I am being very lazy:o, just CBA'd, keeping on top of the washing and ironing and DH doing most of the cleaning, which is not hard out here, also cooking when not going out:o:eek::eek:
HHHope DGNeice is improving, and glad you got paid!
B-Brain Sorry to hear that they do not feel you are up to the ops you need.
LW, Halight, Molly and others not in a good place, have a ((hug)) thinking of you all.
Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
