New Phishing tactic???

Noit sure about this one...

Just had an email purporting to come from eBay offering me to become a Powerseller. Very strange since I buy a fair bit, but have only ever sold one lot on eBay.

The email comese from 'aw-confirm@ebay.com', so looks to heve been sent by a 'user' who has withheld their email addy?

I couldn't check the links in the email (*to see if as usual it goes to a forged eBay screen) since me email strips them out.

Guess it could catch out someone wo sells a fair bit.

Clever b*66ers, eh

Of course, I could be completely wrong!

Send it to spoof@ebay.co.uk and it will reply back to you letting you know if it is real or not.

It's a definite phishing email..I've received similar emails myself-even to my ebay "buying" id! As heather says..any email that looks even slightly dodgy...just spoof@ebay.co.uk it!

My brother-in-law had a similar e-mail, he clicked the link and had no problems becoming a power seller.
There must be some genuine e-mails out there, he must be a lucky one.
