  • thats nice of you, yes please :)

Popped in today as I said I would - I think it's an own brand, the name on the bottle is Easy (Eazy?) - 2 x 650ml bottles for £1. Comes in either blue or green liquid :D

According to Google, available in Poundland too if a trip to I's fails.

Get a pump bottle if you have problems with overuse.

Depends what you want from a washing up liquid, the lowest price per litre rarely reflects the most cost effective product as you need to use more of them.
Do you want a synthetic product or one using natural ingredients?
Do you want a standard washing up liquid or an antibacterial one?

A cheap basic washing up liquid will have 10% (or less) active ingredients & cost £2-£3 per 5L from an ironmongers or cleaning supply company. 15% solutions are comparable to most of the concentrated liquids you would see in a supermarket. Then you get the 20% concentrated solutions which are equivalent to the very best premium brand concentrated liquids you would see in a supermarket. Finally you get the 30% solutions like Chisel or Cleenol high active which will shift anything.
The higher the percentage of active ingredients the more effective the liquid when used at the recommended rate, when that extra cleaning power is not required it can be diluted considerably further but will still work like regular washing up liquids.

Why do many people use the original Fairy washing up liquid? The smell is awful.

I use the LIDL W5 antibacterial one - cheap & doesn't seem to affect the dermatitis on my hands.

I usually use Fairy because I find it cleans better and lasts longer. Which magazine have been recommending it for years. I have tried Aldi which I think does a good job but our nearest Aldi is 20 miles away!

I tried the yellow Easy and it was rubbish. Even though it's two bottles it didn't last long.

Completely agree - and a spongy scourer thingy. One squirt of liquid on the sponge, scrunch it up and hey presto, plenty of bubbles to wash up :) FWIW I always use Fairy original (but only if on offer) or the Aldi Magnum. I like the smell of both and both last ages!

I only ever buy the cheapy value stuff for the OH to wash his oily hands - and even then he prefers to use the good stuff (I was going to say "my Fairy" but thought that looked a bit "ooer" :o)
