I think you should ignore what the neighbour says about his landlord's attitude. Firstly the landlord may not take this view and evict the tenant. Even if he does not care, if you can contact the landlord and register your complaint he is legally obliged to declare the dispute with a buyer if he wants to sell the house.

Surely if the OP registers a complaint against the neighboor then the OP will also need to declare the dispute when they want to sell the house.

I bet you would call him somewhat more then just a Polish pudding, lol.

The term used was to over egg the Polish pudding, this is a metaphor, not an adjective!

You lot are so funny. Im astounded by what I’ve heard from some of you. How would any of you like it if you lived next door to a crazy man who puts his foot down on the accelerator because he thinks its all right to test his car in a residential area.

1000 boy racers in their chavved up corsas just wept at that comment.

A fool who litters our street with car contents and sensitive documents from various new cars that he cleans to sell. Like Dr prescriptions, bank details, telephone bills, Tax disks and many others.

2 things, either you are simply lying to embellish your story, or you have collected the litter and analysed it.
If you have the litter then you need really to have a word with the car owner as they are the one commiting the offence, perhaps if you are lucky they may be a "Pakki".

You have a small inconvenience next door and it has eaten away at you, still, at least you have something to talk about with your biggot mates down the pub what with them taking your jobs and all.

Some of you haven't a clue. How can it not be illegal to setup a garage on your driveway? You'd soon complain if your neighbor started fixing cars next door!

Wills24 has since said that the chap is cleaning new cars to sell.
Not quite setting up a garage of your driveway now is it.

Also the OP was that the guy is commiting benefit fraud, again as yet unproven.

    Thanks for popping by though

Is it relevant that this chap was Polish?

Did you read the post you replied to, it was very relevant? The neighbour would not speak to the Polish person because of their nationality. Pretty much the core of the story there.

    Hello SPELLKASTER
Im so glad you are getting it sorted out. Im in the same situation it wasn’t declared to me either. You just dont know who you are buying next too. We pay for searches and rely on solicitors.

Thoughtlessness appalling and nasty; comes in various forms sweetie – not just from nuisance neighbours. Some of the replies I got are from self made PC vigilantes who sound like trouble makers and who try to impose on peoples posts making out they are being helpful to society but in reality they will find anything to put you down and turn people agains you. They want to win brownie points like a bunch of kids. the sad lot.. Don't worry about them or there opinion, just ignore them. We came here for advice! Not to get involved in arguments.

The good news is I met some nice folks on here who have been very helpful and I am taking their advice and yours of course to go to visit my councillor and will speak to all relevant authorities as well.

and yes my neighbour is a tenant but he has the backing of his landlord who seems, greedy and just wants his rent so he is not bothered what the tenant does. As I was told by the tenant himself. His property was advertised as house with very very large garage. So matie boy and his gang have taken over the outside of his house and mine as well, until I make noises, it cools down then starts up again after a while.

The police are keeping an eye on my property but I do understand there hands are tied, and of course unless the neighbor attacks me because he has threatened me about trying to disrupt his business before.

    I will keep you updated.

Another thing I forgot to add have you thought of purchasing and installaing a cctv camera, so that you can capture any verbal abuse/criminal damage?

we have and our neighbour hates it because they cant cause us any more s**t!!

you can also contact the Land Registry and obtain a copy of your neighbours title deed to see if he has any covenants on their that his is in breach of; likewise I need to do this with my nuisance neighbour too!!

Lastly, you can also speak to a local solicitor for advice as most offer a free half hour consultation.

    Good luck m8 xx

Was there really any need for such a massively inconsiderate and offensive post ? You should really take a look at yourself - that post was simply pathetic.

You mentioned cul-de -sac in your post, what are the neighbours on the other side of this like, are they not bothered too? The whole cul-de-sac could complain too to get it sorted out if it bothers them too.

I do understand that their frontdoor / driveways maynot be "used/abused" like yours, but surely the comings and goings of customers/cars must affect them too.

Whereas most of us would happily speak to a neighbour, Polish or not.

Our fleet manager this morning responded to the comment 'bloody Poles' by mentioning the fact she's Austrian (although was born in Romania), so are you sure he's actually Polish?

I've restored 3 old Soviet cars at home, and noone's complained, and I'm talking about welding, rebuilding engines etc, however we still own 2 of these, so I've not done it on such level, and it was being done on Sunday usually.

Surely this could be akin to starting a garage?
