Takeaway Rights

Hmm, It depends what is missing as to whether or not I kicked up to much of a fuss. If I ordered an Indian and the curry was missing I would reject the whole order, if it was just the poppadoms I would just want a refund of the missing items.AAAAA wrote:I HAVE not pulled them from my bottom. My information is 100% correct,I just don't FELL like providing so called EVIDENCE.
That would make you a troll then.0 -

Yes.
There are various parts of the SOGA which would cover this, the main one being:
If a specific order was placed and something different turns up or there is a shortage, the order cannot be "in conformity with the contract" hence the consumer has the legal right to reject the delivery.Unless otherwise agreed, when the seller tenders delivery of goods to the buyer, he is bound on request to afford the buyer a reasonable opportunity of examining the goods for the purpose of ascertaining whether they are in conformity with the contract
However, as already mentioned, if payment has already been given, refusing the order may be your legal right but it could well end up being a phyrric victory.0 -
Had this happen when my son & I ordered from a takeaway. Driver turns-up without two of the food items. One quick call back to base & they realized their mistake and ordered the guy to return to base. 45 minutes later he was back with a fresh delivery with an extra bottle of cola thrown-in as an apology.Never Knowingly Understood.

I've read on another of his posts that he suspects he is an undiagnosed dyslexic.

My posts are mearly my opinion. How does the fact I am bad at spelling make me a troll?I've read on another of his posts that he suspects he is an undiagnosed dyslexic.

If you want to think that then fine but spelling has always given me trouble.0 -

Not speaking about the OP here as I obviously have no idea whether they are dyslexic or not.....
But over the last 10 years I seen an increase in the number of people claiming to have dyslexia......many of whom are not in fact dyslexic and just say they are to explain poor spelling (for example).
Which is a shame as usually people who genuinely do have dyslexia are of average or above average intelligence. Below average intelligence people claiming to be dyslexic just attaches a stigma of stupidity to actual dyslexics. You keep using that word. .
To be fair I'm not SURE if I'm dyslexic. Its just that as far back as I remember I never got spelling. If you think my spelling is bad now then you should see it before my ipad auto corrects most of it:rotfl::rotfl:.I had some tuition and the person teaching me said they thought I was dyslexic but by that point I was 16 and the test was quite a few hundred pounds so there didn't seem much point taking it by then.0
