termination of mobile contract help

So what pathetic excuse are you going to use for terminating the contract? .
The only pathetic part of this thread, is your input to it.
Someone comes here to ask for help, and people like you jump on them without a second thought.
Thankfully, there are more thoughtful people on this site than closed minded idiots like you.
To the OP - selling the handset is a good piece of advice, assuming its worth a few quid. Also, try contacting the network and explaining the situation. They may allow a reduction in your monthly costs. Probably a long shot but worth a try. You're probably best to put the request in writing rather than speaking to a CS rep on the phone.
Whatever happens, I wish you luck!0 -

You start with a mindless rant then echo what I had posted earlier the good pice of adice I suggested is to possibly sell the handset or did you miss that bit, people are stupid living on the 'knock' if one can't afford something then leave it, top end handsets are not essential, that is help for future fools

How about just offering advice, without the need for adding the comments which will only serve to flame, make someone feel worse than they do already or worse still make others have second thoughts about posting for fear of being judged as 'fools' by people like you.0

Helpful and constructive ( unlike other posts )
Being in a position that you cannot pay your phone bill is not a crime - nor does it make you a ' bad person' - It just means that you need to discuss the situation with everyone who is involved and in particular, the phone company. If a man does not keep pace with his companions, then perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away. thoreau0 -

You mean like your post #12 ?
The advice is there should the reader choose to act upon it, I stand by too many are immature with taking on commitments that they whole heartedly know they shouldn't, and the reasons the Op had posted is just one of many why folk should live within their means. Take a hit on a handset purchase and keep the monthly bills low by curbing unneccessary usage and devices, after all this is MSE not how can we sting the companies and blame them when things go belly up.0 -
Clearly a £43-a-month 24-month contract was a mistake, that's over £1K, but I think we should try to be helpful on this forum.
What phone is it? Selling it to a friend or on Ebay could be a way forward.0 -

Perhaps the OP should post on the debt free wanna be board, as the handset may prove to be the least of their worries.
Have they taken out unecessary or expensive insurance policies, are they on one of the more cost effective energy plans, are they using energy wisely to keep costs down, groceries, clothing, gym fees etc0 -

Indeed.
Some posters prefer to belittle when given half a chance.0 -
