Why is my tyre place so cheap compared to some quotes on here?

£1 more than the oponeo site but fully fitted all in price.

I used to use eTyres but they put their prices up when Eamonn Holmes started appearing on their site :S

Now i use blackcircles and take them to a garage, or Event Tyres, they are the cheapest ones that fit them at your home that I've found.

you dont have to stick to the 'exact' tyre size that came on your vehicle..
my mate recently increased his tyres from 205 to 225 for extra grip as had it remapped and gained 80bhp...

As said a few times, I personally go to a small local garage, I have 215/45/17s on mine and pay £60 each for budgets...
only the wall ratio is off from yours by 5% (50 to 45) and that wont make any difference really just change down...
I only get about 12-14k out of em, but as I only do about 6k a year that suits me...
  • I have an Audi A4 Estate with 18" Wheels. I found https://www.grippy.co.uk really good. They came out and fitted my new Continental Tyres and they were the cheapest. I am not sure if they are in your area as I am based in the midlands but they are worth a try.

    ...

Was he drunk when he told you this? :)

205 to 225 on the same wheel.. Stick to the same profile and the speedo will be out and maybe too tall.

Goto a lower profile and it may need a new wheel entirely.

    Doesnt sound safe.

Dont do this without doing your homework... Wider tyres generally can go one size up or down. Unlikely 205 to 225 on the same wheel.

If you want cheaper tyres for your vehicle, then don't specify stupidly low profile tyres, and refit what the manufacturer stated, and get part worn tyres, for a fraction of the price, if you come on here moaning about the expense. It's Moneysaving.

No manufacturer had that profile tyre at production that I recall.
