ah...you're just jealous 'cos the sun ain't shining where you are

:rotfl:
It's been shining virtually all week up here."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
I like Kenny Everetts dividing line, he said "The custard stops at Watford" so thats where south is to me.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

As my name suggests I'm from not-so sunny stoke but my partner is from Hertfordshire, back in our earlier days either one of us would make the journey to see each other. The signposts that I would follow would be
Stoke
to
Birmingham
to
London
Hertfordshire
to
Watford Gap
to
THE NORTH
It always made me giggle travelling home that I was going to "THE NORTH" - it was like it "oh no turn back now for fear of shell suits, cold weather and
northern monkeys"
he he - well made me laugh!!
Proud to be a Northern Monkey!!!0 -
I guess it must depend on where you live....to me most people are southerners!:p:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

My friends in Carlisle have never been further 'south' than my house....it is fifteen miles north of Birmingham.
My own feeling...above Stoke on Trent - north
Below Cheltenham - south
In between - Midlands
Wales, Bristol etc - West
East Anglia - obviously East!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Having lived as far north as Workington and as far south as Devon's south coast, I'd say Birmingham is the dividing line if we're talking England. If, on the other hand, we're talking the UK, it's more like Berwick on Tweed or a line between Carlisle and Newcastle. But I'm a northener so my educashun isn't that grate.

I'm in Cambridge & consider myself a southerner.
Anyone north of me is a northerner, anyone south of me is a fellow southerner. There are three types of people in this world - those who can count and those who can't.0 -
Im in the west country but i class anything below bristol to be south. As for northeners i class anything from hull to be up there. (im from durham really so 70% of the population are southeners)0
