TV licence is £11 a month according to my bank statements - nearer £12 actually!

Other than that, I'm a novice and have no right being on a thread asking for advice!

Thanks for the info but tv licence is paid quarterly and works out at £8.53 per month. So i put £9 to round the figures, Perhaps by paying quarterly its slightly cheaper.

If on benefits, I think the prescription allowance may be queried as may the newspapers

Still got to pay rent though surely? Even if covered by housing benefit.

Forgive me, but I would suggest that the gas and electric seems very high...

There are 2 adults in my household in a 3 bedroom house and we pay £30 a month for gas and £30 a month for electric.

It depends on how much in their house is electric/gas.

We only have electric in our 2 bedroom house. We have no central heating, badly fitted double glazing and bare walls and we use £100 at least every month.
