Travel Insurance with pre medical conditions

We've been looking for some travel insurance to Europe to include pre existing medical conditions, stroke and atrial fibrillation. We've been to several companies and the cheapest for 6 days is a whopping £92. Has anyone obtained Travel Insurance with pre medical conditions and would recommend the company they used please? Many thanks.

I have also posted this on the I wanna thread and it was suggested I posted on here too.

We've googled and gone through forum suggestion but these aren't covered by 200 or 220 pre existing conditions. Flaming nuisance! ;)

I managed to get insured by medicalert 9 months post heart transplant to go to the USA, cost me roughly £80 and I had to declare a pacemaker, blackouts and allergies along with the transplant.

Thanks very much. Will check them out :). Do you have one of their medicalert bracelets by any chance? Brochure makes them look good but not sure how good in real life, hence my question !

I've used Insurance With - who gave a decent price. Hope you find a decent deal...

Yes I do, I've got a few and had a few different ones over the years - I've never had a bad piece wether it's the stainless steel "classic" emblem or my current silver bracelet. Mine is worn all the time because I can't put it back on unaided. My bracelet is over a year old and still looks great.

All of their jewellery has a safety link in it so if it gets caught it will snap on that link, this means you can wear them to work and not worry about health and safety.

The best bit of the service is you give them your doctors details, the bits of the medical record you want and details of your emergency contacts and they keep it and can send it anywhere in the world if there's a problem. We used them in Florida and it was so much easier than trying to explain "me" over and over again.
  • Staysure.co.uk and justtravelcover.com... have both been good for me. both do pre-existing conditions Just travel have no age limit either.

allcleartravel.co.uk. ...gave me a great quote one year but the next year would not insure me, even though my medical condition had not changed.

You could also try ...goodtogoinsurance.com who also do pre -existing conditions with no age limit....and flexicover.co.uk who insure up to the age of 85.

Staysure came out to over £120 for six days.

Insurance with offered £45 - what a difference! So many thanks to bitsandpieces for the suggestion.

We do have a couple of others to contact so I am positive of a reasonable price now. Phew! :)
