A sleep question here. I know, I know, I shouldn't be looking at what others do. But we're just not getting anywhere with routine over night!
He goes down at 7 pretty much on the dot. Most nights he'll wake about 12ish for a feed if we don't feed him about this time anyway (dream feed). For a few weeks he was then down until 7, which was do able. But the past 2 weeks some days he wakes at 3, some it's 5! Some it's both!!
Last night it was both, but on both he seemed hungry but took a single suck of the bottle before passing back out.
I don't have the newborn adrenaline anymore so am really struggling!!
Any tips? (all our baby friends sleep from 10ish till 7ish!)0 -

:rotfl: Definitely something to aspire to! Although I must admit putting it in the bin sounds pretty clever - my LO's standard response to a rogue sock is to put it in her mouth and take it on a tour of the hallway!0 -

Wow, a big 1 year! Have you much planned?
Oooh, fingers crossed for a promotion!
We're not doing much for her birthday - I'm in the cynical camp of 'she doesn't know it's her birthday'... But we have a few presents for her, are getting some balloons and will be having pancakes for breakfast - it's her favourite food0 -

Thanks for all the replies on travel cots, much appreciated. Think I'm going to get a normal travel cot and a UV play tent for outside (or an igloo if my sundance doesn't work
). Plus I'm one of those people who couldn't bring it inside if it had gotten dirty outside. I'm funny like that.
Nutella - Can I come to the party please? Pancakes are my favorite!
Peanut - I have those moments every day "how did you get so big?" "where's mummy's tiny baby gone?" (not that she has EVER been small!) etc. etc. she is only 18 weeks so not much older than your little one. Scary that it is MAY tomorrow! May last year was our 12 week scan month, seems like only yesterday!
Hope everyone is doing OK. Not much to report other than we have a little scoffer on our hands for food, she LOVES it, anything that goes near her mouth gets munched and she lurches forward for the spoon! :rotfl:0 -
I feel like a broken record
but 4 month sleep regression Peanut, it can really disturb bubbas sleep, even those who have previously slept through. Loads of info on the net about it, the fact that your little one is learning all of those new things, means his brain is developing very quickly which makes it harder for him to switch off which in turn can lead to very unsettled nights. 7pm is a very good bed time for a baby so young xx

Here here! We still haven't outgrown it yet. I also agree 7pm is an excellent bedtime. Our best is 11-5 two nights in a row it is usually bed at 10-11, feed at 3, 5,7 and dummy back in 2,4,6  at the moment anyway.0 -

me and oh keep saying its mental how it's may already, we were waiting for march for so long and now its may, I wasn't even pregnant this time last year, which is even stranger because I'm sure I was gestating like a elephant (2 years) felt like it anyway ha
Me and lo went out for dinner and he screamed crying twice which was embarrassing as it was busy and my first time with him crying out , normally he's asleep when in the car seat but little man hadn't pooed the day before and gets grumpy if he doesn't go everyday!! We then dropped my car at hers and walked to school to pick my nephew up 7yrs old! He kept saying to his school friends "look auntie wheeze has had a baby" too cute!! Managed to get a poo out of lo at 7 and he was so happy afterwards, me aswell!' didn't think 6weeks ago poo would make me happy!! How life has changed!!
Sorry for babbling and any spelling mistakes!! Night feed adrenaline!!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Hi all, and welcome elisabeth!
I've not been on much as got a huge bit of work to do and have actually been quite disciplined with not coming on too much.
Nutella I was in your camp until all his baby friends had parties and I thought I wanted in on that :rotfl: regretting it a bit now as have got this work to do so petty much zero time to prepare for it. And he's already got far too many presents. Think we'll have to have a clean out of his toy box to make space!Newborn thread member
