Barclays Cash ISA 2013

I'm not sure that I recall a fixed term ISA from Barclays, they are usually easy access with a fixed bonus guaranteed for a year (that they re-issue throughout the year at lower rates). The current one is typical....
....As I say I could be wrong, it's been a while since I used Barclays for ISAs due to their policy of not allowing transfers in and am happy to be proved wrong
Yes, this is what Barclays Mini Cash ISA's have been like for the last few years'.0 -
I didn't think anyone did mini cash ISAs anymore. I remember the Golden ISA and the Tax Haven one before it but they were both bonus products like the current Loyalty Reward. I also recall the Cash Beater one from 2007 that paid a heady 6.5%, those were the days
Can you remember the name of the fixed rate ones?0 -

What I meant was, that you were correct in that the Barclays Cash ISA's over the last few years have been the easy access ones (ie the Golden, Tax Haven).0 -
Apologies, I thought you were proving me wrong, it's early and I'm useless before my third coffee
Unlike their other products Barclays ISAs are usually reasonably good but you have to get them in April as they have a habit of dropping their rates sharply throughout the year. That Tax Beater one was table topping back then0 -
Hi folks,
ISA season is pretty much upon us, and though we don’t know what rates will be like this year yet, we're starting to do some digging and want to know if you've heard anything through the grapevine.
Things like details of Barclays new ISAs, rate changes or deals exclusively for existing customers, anything at all really!
As ever, your help is much appreciated

Both of these ISA allow transfers in which is a first for Barclays after many years of disallowing it. They say they didn't have the technology before. I guess Barclays use leading edge technology ... eventually

Our Bank Manager today explains it is because they have now got rid of the American influence and the new management is working to improve Barclay's image again with other improvements:j0 -
I've had ISA's with Barclays from 2009 to present and if taken out early when rate is good they are often very comparable for good interest rates. What I like is that I've kept all of them running [don't like all 'eggs in one basket'] and to date the rates are still paying:- Current Issue Loyalty Reward [2012-13] 2.01% + 1% at end of financial year,
Golden Isa 3 [2011] 2.20%, Golden Isa 2 [2010] 2.06%, Golden Isa [2009] 2.20%.
I could amalgamate but then if I'd moved 2009 money into 2010 I'd have lost the better 2.20% interest rate so this suits as is.
The one bugbear is Barclays don't have these rates anywhere on their website so you have to keep asking in branch to check they haven't plummeted but so far they aren't bad in present climate. I also like the very clear printed statements I get every year showing the monthly interest going in and end on year rate.0
