The jobcenter are forcing me to come in everyday right now,I am registered with all the agencies they suggest even before they suggest them, am on Total jobs & ,no joke at least 50 other online jobsites as well of course as Universal job .I bring in printed jobs every that Ive applied for
Surely this is harassment,If Im wasting time traveling to & fro & to agencies to get proof that Im registered , I cant actually look where I know the best chances are & not where the advisor says
? Any help - suggestions
? Who regulates the jobcenter as I find the line manager is on the side of the advisor ,even if they are suggesting something totally rubbish ?

have you been out of work for more than 6 months?0

Its been 5 months, Does 6 make some difference ?0

Have you calmly asked why you have to attend everyday, and how long the daily attendance will continue for?
What you have described is not harassment, although it may be excessive depending on your circumstances. Harassment would be calling you at 10pm, turning up on your doorstep at 7am etc.0 -
The Jobcentre are looking after their jobs.
Whether they are helping you or wasting time is irrelevant.0 -
You have had five months to take advantage of your wonderful insight into where 'the best chances are'. That did not work. They are now suggesting you get off your high horse and do some 'rubbish' whilst looking for something more befitting. The problem with this is???0

Most employees are paid to have commonsense, challenge bad practice, improve procedures, speak up when necessary.0 -

Maybe it's some sort of attempt to keep claimants in "employed" mode? I can see how people can end up out of the loop when only having to sign on once a fortnight. Maybe this advisor may think by having people get up, get dressed and have an appointment 5 days a week it is very much like working?
Have they given an explanation why? Have you asked?0 -
The reasons for a more frequent attendance are usually that you have not been job searching as much as you should, or they have reason to suspect you of working on the side. There may be other reasons, but these are the most common.0

I think it's forced waste of time, even if job search is futile to keep them busy paid etc. I would get welfare rights onto it. Surely if you are being good then. Or maybe they are doing something?#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
