Yes I thought I had uninstalled it but after the system refresh it came back, searchya seems to be some Isreali thing, not a virus, I hope but it attached itself to IE, have I hope managed to get rid of it.0

Google 'norton uninstall'. There are tools you can download to ensure that all traces of Norton are removed from your machine.0

Should I just do system refresh? What gets wiped? Not really got much on here yet, does it take long? Or should I wait until my LL comes next Tuesday, if he's got time to sort it..... or take it back to Currys who want to charge me £49 to do the registry..... I suppose I could reinstall Norton! or could I?
There is no such procedure! All they will do is a clean install, or more likely a Factory Restore, which you can do yourself. Either way, you will lose your data and all after-market software, and have to reinstall it. Don't let their clowns near it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

It is, but you'll have to buy it and the same applies as here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=59483231&postcount=8It's just an affiliate site pushing Enigma's Spyhunter. Though legitimate, it has a chequered past
There's lots of these toolbars around, changing homepages, search settings etc. A lot of these sites far exaggerate the supposed "threat" from these. They're usually affiliates pushing some kind of (paid) software or service. The "removal tools" may or may not work.
Try Adwcleaner first - it's free.
