Controlled Parking Management Southall

Yes, I got one Saturday night in a car park in Beaconsfield Road, Southall.
Yes, I had a look round first and the only notice saying it was a private car park was right down the far end of the car park, at the opposite end to the money machine, where the tariff was 90p for one hour, or £5 for all day, nothing in between.
The ticket for one hour was priced at a pound as well.
Anyway got back seven minutes late, man taking photo of car and notice on the screen. I took it and drove off.
Shows what sort of people these are, the list of 'offences' include invalid tax disc (on private property!), not using premises (its a car park), off the site (whatever that is!).
Awaiting developments with interest, and following the advice given on here.0 -
If you are following the advice you just need to wait for your Notice to Keeper to arrive in the post then challenge it - if you want individual advice you'll need to start your own thread. Read a few other threads on the current forum and you will see examples of challenges anyway- but as long as you are the registered keeper, DO NOTHING until the postal letter arrives.PRIVATE 'PCN'? That's ok, I don't want advice, there is plenty on here about what (not)to do, just reporting these people are still at it but at apparently a new location, and with a series of spurious 'offences'.0

Today I received a letter from PCS stating that they are dropping their attempt to extort money from me!
Just wanted to thank everyone, especially Coupon-mad for their help and encouragement in fighting this, I don't honestly think I would have held my nerve otherwise!
I am interested to know what the legal position is in the PPC holding any information on me?
Their letter in basic terms says they are letting me off this one but if I do it again, they will persue it, implying that they will hold some record of me on file - can they do this?0 -

Nope. And you should write to them requiring that they remove all data relating to you AND to confirm that they have done so.
Failure to confirm will result in you making a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Whatever you do, do not feel grateful or indebted to the PPC for 'letting you off'. If they had a real claim they would have mercilessly pursued you. You've got the cancellation confirmation, now put them to some of the grief they've subjected you to.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks Umomass,
Lol, I have never felt grateful that they let me off - but I appreciate where you are coming from
Just been looking through the ICO web site and their FAQ says that there is no automatic right to get information deleted, and I just cannot find any more information on it.
As you say, I want to give these lot some grief, and I think they have given me the ammunition to do it, just need some guidance of where to start.0 -
Hi All! I'm back too! just had my first letter by recorded post! I have 7 days to respond or else!
Small thing, they managed to spell the owner's name wrong...
My parents have seen the letter and are now aware and terrified. I'm also a bit concerned... Time for me to read all these links too.
so my ticket was on 23-03-13, the letter arrived today, 13-08-13 dated 07-08-13
The parking charge must be paid before the end of the period of 7 days beginning with the date of service of this notice. Unless the contrary is proved, service of this notice is taken to have been effected on the second working day after the date of posting. The date of posting is the date of this notice.0 -

Have you previously had your own thread about a similar situation? If so could you resurrect that rather than jumping in on someone else's (or see my signature).
It's going to get incredibly messy and confusing if all and sundry hijack the same thread just because their situation has a (fleeting in many cases) resemblance to the OP's.
But at face value the dates you quote are seemingly well out of time and definitely something very much in your favour. So certainly resurrect (if previous thread) or a new one if not. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Thanks for the advice, I apologize for not spotting it before, I have posted in this thread a few times as I thought I'd be fouling up the site with an extra thread...
I'll follow the advice posted here (and your advice), my situation is near identical to the OP.
