            they don't... not here anyway.
my friends eldest daughter has chosen to come out of a 2 bed social housing property and go into a 2 bed pribate let. all because its in a noce new estate and is mainly owner occupiers rather than renters.
we have a high level of immigration ( not a problem, no fuss or trouble ) as we have the headuaters and factory of sports direct up the road. the owner has already been prosecuted for recruiting directlu from poland. he pays minimum wage, and we have roads of private lets, housing single polish men... 4 or 5 to a house.
the 3 bed house acroos the road from me has 6 polish men living in it.
even though they are paid minimum wage. because they have so many individual wages going into the property, the rent is very affordable.
does that answer your question?0 -

If your child waited very short time for a 2 bed adapted property then clearly they are fruitful. There are plentiful 2 bedrooms very under the private rate then they are fruitful.
Do you think those in London share this experience. It is only wrong when you are affected and the fact that you have blatently chose to ignore the fact that a tenant in a 3 bed needs to move and repeat again your own familiies situation shows that you only really argue against what affects you and your own.
Have you been into a major city recently and seen the housing stock situation as I suspect not.
There are lists for one bedroom properties, but no one wanted the one my dd was allocated purely because it was in such a state of disrepair. The lass spent a fortune getting all the walls skimmed, then getting it decorated.
She got allocated the 2 bedroom on health grounds as someone died just as she was given priority for adapted property.
The largest housing lists here are for 3/4 bedroom properties, and I suspect now, 1 bedroom properties. But I do know that my dd's old flat has been let already, which isn't bad going when no one wanted it a few years ago...
I totally understand about the big cities as you so put them. I lived down south for several years before moving back here.
How on earth am i blatantly ignoring people needing to move from a 3 bedroom property? I MOVED FROM A 3 BEDROOM PROPERTY. Not because of the bedroom tax, but because I believed in downsizing to give those with families a bigger property. It's only me and my lad now, so 2 bedrooms is ample for us. So even without the bedroom tax, it doesn't affect me...
You are misreading or choosing to read what you wish. I have no problems with those who are in houses too big having to pay.
I do have a problem with disabled people having to pay for adapted properties. I do have a problem with singles and couples having to move(or pay) from 2 bedroom properties, when there are no 1 bedroom properties available. I do have a problem with a couple, who need separate room, having to pay. This is going to affect the single unemployed/sick the hardest, especially those under 25 who only get £56/week to keep them. Take 14% of their rent from that £56/week and it doesn't leave very much does it?4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
