I use to think kwick-fit gave an adequite service till they tried to rip me off, dont use them now.
Would only use them if they price match someone else that does not have a tyre in stock and would never let them do 'recomended' work.0 -

I still don't know whether your comments are based on hard facts or prejudice for the public sector.
Motability (LINK) appears to be a private company that provides a leased (and maintained) vehicle in return for an individual's disability benefit payment.
Can't see any mention of local authority/government subsidy for Motability. It's not clear why you're moaning about taxpayers and the public purse.0 -
How do you work that one out, the only thing a mobility customer pays for os fuel, they will have averaged that in the 3 years most cars will probably need one complete tyre change if it was 20 it would be costing somone money.
Motability Finance Limited is a lease company, any unscheduled maintenance will come out of their profits. The motability customer does not get the car for free,it costs them around £2,800 per year plus any deposit they might have to or wish to pay, plus any adaptations to the vehicle which are sometimes chargeable. I'm not naive enough to think that everyone who recieves DLA is a genuine case, but, like it or not,if somebody has decided they are eligible for the benefit they can spend it on whatever they like.0 -

+1
It depends a lot on the branch ...
I was doing their brake deal.... despite getting the cheapest brakes my old local branch did actually change them and keep to the guarantee. I had a faulty caliper that damaged a newish disk and they did replace them under warranty.
Moved and the brake pads need replacing but the new local one won't unless we replace the disks (that don't need changing by a long way - not only IMHO but also the council MOT inspector)
edits: Forgot to say, NEVER EVER take a tyre for repair at KF, ATS etc. without taking photo's first. You will end up with a rusty nail stuck through a place it 'can't be repaired'. (You won't remember seeing it as they just stuck it in)
I use a ruler and take the photo then ask (showing the photo on the phone, can you repair this)
That way they know you have evidence of WHAT you asked them to repair.0
